it would be to expensive to change hitches but i would like to know if i could manually rotate the hitch maybe 10 degrees with out hurting the setup.Re: demco vs drawrite sliding hitchafter going thru this forum i decided to go with a gas f250 auto 4x4 and purchased a demco auto slider of 18k. after a lot of hitching problems over the couple of yrs now that i had the setup, i finally decided to post about the problems with the demco. and to start off i had neck surgery with fusion and my head movement is limited which means i am totally dependent on mirrors to backup to hitch. and this makes it very hard to hit the narrow opening of the hitch point. so with that said at my last park we stayed at i was able to back in and setup pulling out straight with no problems, but when we went to leave there were rv's beside us and across the street and i did not have the option of backing in straight let alone pulling out after hooked up. so i had a friend with a regular hitch on a long bed hitch up and pill me out cause he was able to hitch at an angle and pull. where the demco i think you are not able to turn the hitch. or is there away i can turn the hitch to hookup so i could have pulled out on my own? help!Re: gas at truck stopsi will be traveling rt i95 and then i10 in fl. to i75 than south again and i found findfuelstops.com used for tractor trailer with rest areas and fuel exits which i have exit #'s and picked all pilot/flying j's and if some could tell me if tell me if i am making a good choice for my 5er and f250 for rv lanes let me know! exit #'s are 104 in va,106-nc, 170-sc, 109-ga, i10 exit343-fl,route i75-285, 139-fl and each one is aimed at 212 miles or less sense i am good for 315 miles give or take! the rough one for me is my first stop of 212 miles cause i will be traveling hills and could cause my mileage to drop very close to the empty point ,but i do not want to stop near baltimore or dc if i don't have to!gas at truck stopsi plan to head south for the winter which i do have a spot saved. and i am towing a 35' fifth wheeler with a gas ford f-250 and i am wondering if most brands have gas lanes in their truck lanes? the reason i ask is last yr traveling rt 95 and rt 75 in a class c with toad i got in real tight places in car gas lanes and now with a bigger setup i would be up the creek. so what brand should i look for with gas in their truck lanes and where are they usually like near the store end or all lane's or? and are the marked with gas. the reason i ask is that there is a truck stop near me and they have a gas lane but it is not marked and if you are not acquainted with that station you would have to go in and ask then startup your rig and move it again . last yr i pulled into i forget what brand truck stop and pulled up on the truck lanes and they did not have a gas lane pump in their truck lanes so i pulled around to the car lanes and it was very tight but i did make it but boy was it tight , like the mrs had to get out and move a trash can and i had to wait because of people opening the store doors, so i wouldn't hit them. and i also found out that cars have very little mercy with this type of experience . i even had cars pull in front and so i had to wait on them to leave. so give me truck lanes please!Re: Dish network mobile expert help pleaseI am a newbe and I am having trouble installing a tailgater in our newly purchased 5th wheeler which we bought used. and the main problem is that I am older and the new stuff is very hard for me to understand. like there is so many outlets for rg6 cable I am having a hard time finding the correct one plus the TV's have all the different inputs and connecting to which one from our dvd player and having it work is a problem. we have 3 TV's in the rv and I want to hook the front 2 to a wally cause the front two are in diff. rooms and then the back one will be connected to a 211z.but what do I do with the front two in diff. rooms cause the wally only has usb, rca,or hdmi output. and there is 2 TV's in diff. rooms? would dish come out to a rv and hook everything up?Re: demco vs drawrite sliding hitchwhat is meant by rawr? i think you are talking about hitch pin wt and i looked the model up and is 1220 lbs so i looked up the pickup and the payload is 2220 lbs so if i am correct the hitch wt is 1220lbs and the reciever is 200 which would be about 1420 lbs which is with in the mfger's wt of 2220 lbs, so is there something i am missing?Re: demco vs drawrite sliding hitchwhy do you think 1/2 ton is light for the pull , cause gmc says the truck is good for 11000 pulling and i will never have a tank of water in it for travel, so at 9200 empty and maybe up to 1000 lbs of clothing and food i thought i would be good.demco vs drawrite sliding hitchbetween demco and drawrite sliding hitches , which is the better one? moving from a class c and i just bought a 5th wheeler which empty is 9700 lbs and max wt is 11200 and plan to pull with a chevy 1500 crew cab short bed and max towing package and also wonder if this setup is ok or light for what i have to pull . and everything needed is alot of recearch and there got to be pro's and cons of both. as i only plan to pull a couple of times a year and most of it will be highway driving from se pa. to florida or the del beaches. but maybe a run to upstate pa or n.y. could happen.Re: Directv emergencyafter reading through the posts on satellite tv I am confused. as to which system is thought to handle 2 TV's and how to hook it up plus how many receivers would be needed. and which ones could be used across the u.s.a. with the best results. right now we are using a winegard over the air antenna with booster and want to upgrade to satellite pay as you go. I am looking for a portable unit that go across country and handle 2 TV's. which I have looked at dish, king, winegard and it gets very confusing when I want to keep it on a budget of less than $600 for everything.
