Here is the main one that is being discussed: http://www.cpeauto.com/de3500RV_gen.htm Nice wheel kit, that one is on the Champion website too. I seen that generator on sale at Murrays auto parts for $299, sale is until the end of the month.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. professor95 wrote: ol Bombero-JC wrote: Champion does warrant the generator for one year. After the year is up, then what? Without the cast iron sleeve in the cylinder as the Honda GX series has, I wonder how long the unit will last. I would be more apt to pay $200 more and purchase the Chinese genny with the cast iron sleeve. It comes with a two year warranty and is more apt to give you the long term reliability of a Honda. Interesting. I was under the impression that the Honda GX200 engine does not have a cast iron sleeve. I could be wrong, but I have neither seen or read anything to make me believe otherwise. Honda GX specs are listed here and can also be found HERE. There is no mention of a cast iron sleeve. Small aluminum air cooled engines without cast iron sleeves have been around for decades. Most all Briggs 3.5 and 5 HP engines are straight aluminum cylinders with the exception of the Industrial models. I have several small engines that are not cast iron sleeved. Each has provided many, many years and hours of reliable service. I have a water pump that was powered by a Briggs 5 HP engine that ran 24 hours a day weeks at a time during the rainy seasons to keep my lower forty from becoming a haven for mosquitoes and algae. Foolishly, I let it get low on oil last year and seized the connecting rod. I replaced it with a Honda GC160 engine that I bought from Northern for $200.00. The GC does not have a cast iron sleeve either. It now has about 500 hours on it and still does not use a drop of oil between change intervals. There is no argument that cast iron wears slower than aluminum, but at what point does that become significant on a small air cooled engine? Honestly, I have not found that significance yet. It would be nice to get the real poop on Honda GX200 series engines and cast iron sleeves. Also factual info as to what Chonda engines do or do not have a cast iron sleeve. As I said, it is really moot for me other than having accurate information. Anybody have a positive answer? Maybe someone who regularly repairs and rebuilds these small air cooled engines has some insight to share? Inquiring minds do want to know. I look around at the site's you gave a link to, and it appears the GX engines do have a cast iron lining. Bet it comes with a bottle of snake oil additive too! The power must be processed in someway, since the rpm's are determined by the electrical load put on the generator.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. That is a good Question, No one on the forum was not able to run their AC with the 3500Tc model (except angelbear, with the coleman mach 3 P.S.) but when you look at the specs, all the Tc models weigh the same as the Ti models in the same wattage, I also thouht that C was converter, and I was for inverter.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.Click HERE and you can even see the smart throtle switch on the Tc unit, Tool King is selling a yellow 2000Tc model for $499 ToolKingRe: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. professor95 wrote: More on the PepBoys All Power/Kipor 2000Tc: Looking at the owner's manuals on the link just provided. Both schematics are "almost" identical with the same specs, other than the amount of fuel used (remember, the Tc has no economy mode or idle control - it runs at 4,500 rpm all the time. Thus, it will use more fuel on the "average"). I still find it interesting that Kipor calls the Tc model a Digital Converter and the Ti model a Digital Inverter. Guess that is where the c (converter) and i (inverter) designations come from. While not a precise rule, the term inverter is normally applied to a device that has a DC input and inverts it to an AC output - usually at a higher voltage. The term converter is interpreted to mean a device that changes AC input to a DC output - usually at a lower voltage. I did look at one in PepBoys last week. The advertised AllPower definately is the CampMate 2000 Tc. The fine print on the label even identifies it as a Kipor. Also, all of the Tc advertisements avoid the words "SineMaster" which are used extensively with the Ti model. Again, I seriously suspect from what I have seen and read that while both use a 3-phase delta wound alternator to create a high frequency AC signal that is fed to an "inverter", we will find the waveform that comes out of the Tc is very similar to the so called "modified sine wave" produced by conventional DC to AC inverters and the Ti will have a nice clean sine wave. I really hope someone that owns one (or both) will put them on a scope so that we can find a conclusive answer to the question. I dont know about the 2000Tc, but my brotherinlaws 3500Tc has the economy switch, and rpm's are determined by load, I thought all the Tc model were load dependent, Kipor just shows the run times at the rated load. I just went back and checked my link to the kipor owner manuals, and the 2000Tc does show the smart switch, the 4500 rpm's is the max for the generator, something like the 2000Ti, and the EU2000Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. You can download the owners manual HERE for the campingmate 2000Tc, and it does show that it has a inverter. My brotherinlaw has the 3500Tc and it looks just like my 3500Ti, but it wont power my Air.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.Navychop, go to page 26 of your owners manual and you will find the wiring diagram, I dont know if it will help, but maybe you can follow the Yellow/Green wire to what they have listed as the "Charging adjustor" and I wonder if it can be adjusted?Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.ib516 wrote: The ELIM 3000 can put out it's max power out of one 20A outlet, and he has ran the AC and microwave at the same time off a single 20 amp outlet, wouldn't the microwave and ac pull more than 20 amps? I would be worried about frying the outlet and go with the orange adaptor.
