Then turn west on Hwy 160. Go over LaVeta pass (a mild one with a wide road) to Fort Garland, CO, where you turn south on CO 159 / NM 522 into Taos. Easy peasy driving. :) LynnRe: Ute Mountain, CO to Torrey, UTOh, good to hear the input on that route! I'm spending a couple of nights at the casino's RV park before pushing on. But need to linger in that area so that I can make a quick trip to Dove Springs (NE of Cortez) to pick up a gunnysack full of Anasazi beans! Then to Torrey for a fun Airstream rally! :) Lynn agesilaus wrote: We've been on it several times, towing a TT or a fiver. Nothing springs to mind but I am slope insensitive. Cortez to Torrey might be a better title Ute Mountain, CO to Torrey, UTHave any of you been this route? Is it all paved, good for a 24' moho with towed? Route on Google Mapss :) LynnRe: Arizona Rt.264, Tuba City to Ganado Rt.191?We traveled it a couple of years ago with a 30 ft moho plus towed. No real issue. It is not a superhighway, nor should you try to put the pedal to the metal. Enjoy the scenery; be respectful of the land, its peoples, and its regulations; and cater to local businesses! :) LynnRe: Albuquerque Balloon Festival QuestionsEvidently, the fiesta is making a change this year to parking and RV arrangements. It will be interesting to see what people think of it. https://www.kob.com/albuquerque-balloon-fiesta/rvs-cars-to-swap-parking-areas-for-2019-balloon-fiesta/5504250/?fbclid=IwAR1MSuo66g0JRFxf2eBkFmJLBRmDP_-vzjL7NAnD0qBP7nD6qll7LYim85I LynnRe: US Border agent gave my passport to.....??Happened to me once, too. Only my incident happened at Checkpoint Charlie reentering West Berlin after a visit to the bookstore in East Berlin, and the agents were toting machine guns. It was a bit uncomfortable, to put it mildly. :) LynnRe: Is this forum dead?Forums like this one are a thing of the past. Only us dinosaurs left. The rest are either dead or on other social media. :) LynnRe: Windows 10 Update - Frozen at Downloading 100%Please buy a Mac. It sounds like you might be a happier person with one. LynnRe: Are Airstreams low maintenance?Yes and no. Like any surface, aluminum requires some care and feeding. If done right, you'll have many years of service, perhaps longer than you'll live to enjoy. If not done right (or if not done at all), you'll have yourself a nice, expensive nightmare. :) Lynn
