That tells me they are over weight they do not have the right truck for the job or they are not educated on how to set things up properly. Does this mean the 1 ton guys are going to say they need a 1 ton truck. Driving like that is unsafe no matter what size truck you have (having little steering due to the nose being so high) It comes down to education and research and knowing you trucks limits honestly i laugh when i drive by a 3/4 truck nose high and trailer low and my 1/2 rides perfectly level so i have proper steering and my headlights are in the right place not to mention being able to use my front brakes properly , I know that my 1/2 set up correctly (even a bit over my payload ratings will stop better then a 3/4 not set up properly no matter if they have the correct brake size to stop the weight. people need to get over the 1/2 3/4 1 ton debate if someone with a 1/2 ton chooses to tow a 14000# trailer that is on them it is no different then 3/4 choosing to tow a trailer out of there limits. Use common sense and make sure you are set up properly it is possible to tow a 5er with a 1/2 many of us are doing it safelyRe: 1/2 Ton Towable 5th WheelI tow a 2018 Primetime Crusader Lite 30bh Cat scaled at 9500# loaded for camping, towed with a 2018 F150 3.5eco with 6.5' bed using the Pullrite superlight hitch. All i added was new shorter shocks to compensate taking out the blocks in the rear and Airbags to level it out. I have absolutely no issues pulling it with my "1/2 ton" trailer has its own brakes and I am under the maximum weight for a 5th wheel. Truck stops fine and It does stop well in an emergency braking situation. Moderator edit to re-size picture to forum recommended limit of 640px maximum width. Re: Tire and load/level question.lippert correct track offers a 2 inch lift and will fix alignment issue in the future if they ever arise . i had the same issue as you and just installed the Correct track and i am now level and high enough or get a different spring equalizer, my stock one was 2" switched to a 4" inch one and i got some more height out of it.Re: Small 5th wheel bunkhouse suggestionsPrimetime Crusader Lite 30bh even the 29bh would work i bought this for the weight and the layout kids have there own bunkroom and bathroom (toilet and sink) and upfront is a queen and a full bathroom its under 10000# mine was 9500# loadedRe: Question on Selling FW HitchSold just my hitch , no rails with it. :)Re: Battery Box for two 6v GC2's?I was in the same boat as far as cost all the battery boxes were way too much money for some plastic , so after weeks of debating, searching almost spending too much money i came across this box. Fits my 2 GC batteries just fine and has some space left over , I just now need to drill bottom hole and top hole for my vent, but for 20 buck Canadian, i think it should do https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B007TOJ9DY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Re: Your Rig2018 F150 pulling our 2018 Crusader Light 30BH this is the day I picked her up Moderator edit to re-size picture to forum recommended limit of 640px maximum width. Re: My 2018 F150 Towing ExperienceI've owned A 2016 F150 XLT screw with the short box towing a 6000LB (when loaded 28' TT and once I found the right hitch set up and used Bilsteins in the rear , it towed beautifully tried 2 different WD systems and finally got it dialed in with the Reese Dual cam system , did a 6000km trip on all types of roads , grades , weather and no issues. I now own a 2018 F150 XLT screw with the 6.5' bed and now tow a 34' 5er and only issue i have is a little bounce in the front , but it tows and handles this new unit perfect maybe that steering issue is the culprit
