Have some warranty issues, but once they are fixed we should be happy campers!! Can you give us some idea what your warrantee issues are like? A little unnerving to have them in the first week after delivery...Re: Thor new coach AxisFinally got a chance to sit in one yesterday at a local dealer. They've got it advertised for and they've sold one so far, and apparently had a number of people come look at it. Will probably take the wife back next week and drive it. My thoughts (all tinged with coming from a 2006 Roadtrek RS Sprinter): - Internal layout: pretty good. The main salon is surprisingly spacious, the very open cab with huge windows makes it feel even bigger. - Cab: Weird, but pretty cool. Massive windows and view. - Bathroom: The door is a little tricky at first, but you wind up with a lot of space to move around, dry off, etc. One downside: there is no privacy from the bedroom. - Bedroom: The holy grail for me: put the insert in full time, chuck the******mattresses and buy a single king-sized tempurpedic and I can actually sleep. (I'm still fighting a hip pointer from 5 nights in the Adventurous). - Build quality: looked OK. The Roadtrek feels a little nicer and more refined - this feels more "entry RV". - Exterior size: This is obviously the big change. We got the Roadtrek because you can take it anywhere and park it almost anywhere. This guy isn't huge, but no cheating in a single parking spot in a city. Bottom line: It is interesting enough that I think we've got to drive it and see. Question for those that have bought more RV's that me: They are advertising it at $79, with MSRP in the usual ridiculous range. Is that $79k price point likely to stay, or just a teaser until spring?Re: Thor new coach Axis gerrym51 wrote: mike-go up 3 posts and click on the link i made to 21 pictures there are 3 bathroom pictures and a nice one of shower. i do not think it is a deal breaker compared to a class b bathroom/shower it is nirvana I've seen those pics - but nothing beats the impression of something that stands inside the unit and "feels" it...Re: Thor new coach Axis lakings10 wrote: Saw on today at the show. Love everything about it but the shower is a deal breaker for me. Way too small for. Thats the killer, but everything else is pretty cool. Can you give a little more context? Coming for a B (Roadtrek RS Adventurous - Sprinter chassis) where I am it is obviously going to be way better - right how we have a "shampooper" where you have to sit on the toilet to shower. Coming from a full-sized A it is obviously going to be smaller, and probably not suitable for full-timing. But, for those of us are encouraged by the small size (the Roadtrek is 21 feet, I'm hoping a 25 footer is nearly as nimble) do you think the shower is workable for a week or so at a time? Also, how did the overall size of the rig feel? Would you do a couple weeks in it? Do you think you could get it into parking lots you wouldn't take a full-sized A in? Stuck up here in Seattle and won't get to see one for a while - very curious!Re: Thor new coach Axis lakings10 wrote: If i see on friday at the show, ill report back here. Sweet - thanks!Re: Thor new coach AxisIf anyone lays eyes on one - PLEASE give us a report when you get back. Run the slide in an out, open all the doors, sit in the driver's seat and tell us how that funny window looks... :)Re: Thor new coach Axis Gjac wrote: I think if I was going to buy a Thor product I would look very closely at the Daybreak and compare it to the Axis, Vegas and Ace. What I like about the Daybreak is that it has full basement storage, 100 gals vs 42-50 of fresh water, 80 gals vs 50 of gas, 362 hp vs 305 hp for the Vegas and Axis, a longer wheel base, and probably more CCC although I could not easily find it on there web site. It is also 5 foot longer... and being "small" is a big part of the Axis desirability for some of us. In our case, the "upgrade" would be from a 2006 Roadtrek RS Adventurous (sprinter chassis). We love that we can park it in a single stall, but we'd like to get a little more room without getting to full-size (or near full-size) class A...
