I have no experience with Coachmen but It's hard to beat LTV if you want a C.Re: Hymer Sunlight Van 1 offerI hope you get a call and become the owner. Don't go over the price you are willing to pay for that unit. I can't speak for the Hymer Sunlight but we love our Travato on the Promaster.Re: Great West LegendI agree with Mumkin and AsheGuy. The RV components and appliances are the same as other manufacturers. The chassis can be serviced at the same place as others, too. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a Great West if it was what I wanted.Re: Service On Sprinter Chassis?Agree with mumkin. While under warranty finding a Mercedes dealer and one that can even service a B is not something we wanted to be concerned about. Also didn't want to have to carry the fuel additive either. We did not consider a Sprinter this time. We all have to make the choice that best suits our needs and travel style. After warranty you can have service done anywhere not just at a Mercedes dealership. We traveled with friends for a month last September and the type of fuel recommended by Mercedes for his motorhome was not available in MN. We drove across the line into another state for him to fill up before continuing our travels in MN. We had a LTV Sprinter for 11 years but things were different then. As I said everyone has the choice to purchase what suits their personal preference. No right or wrong with whatever you choose.Re: Top Three Class B's, one (1) thru. three (3)!I agree with bagman that ARV, Coach House, LTV and PW are all quality units, but that being said, if you don't like their chassis or floors plan that crosses them off our list. Our last B was a 2005 LTV. Following that we purchased a small C and decided after a year and a half we really are B folks. For our latest purchase we did not want a diesel or Ford this time and wanted to keep it under 22'. The Winnebago Travato K model was our choice. It is by far our favorite RV. We have had no failures of any kind and the floor plan suits us perfectly. It is not the quality of some higher priced units but we feel we got more than we expected for the $$$$.Re: Are you truly happy with your Phoenix Cruiser?Phoenix Cruiser does not make a Class B. On some of their videos they call all their models a B+ because they do not have cabover beds. They are all Cs built on a Ford truck chassis or MB diesel. We owned their smallest model the 2100 for a year and a half. We quickly confirmed we are B folks and much prefer driving a van. The company has very good customer service and will customize whenever possible. Go to their website and join their Forum. The folks there are very helpful. Also use the Class C forum here for info.Re: QuestionWe have a Travato K model now that would accommodate your sleeping requirements. One of our beds is 30"x80" but not the right price. Back In 2005 we purchased a LTV Free Spirit that had an electric sofa/bed that opened to a true queen 60"x80". They are still over your price. Don't give up on a B you may stumble on one that will meet your needs.Re: Still Filling The BUCKET List - Alaska 2018Or trip hit the places mentioned by sodajerk with the exception of Juneau and Sitka. I have a difficult time with boats due to seasickness. The short ferry we took from Haines to Skagway was the best I could do but I would skip Skagway. It was filled with people from Cruise ships and lots of jewelry stores. It was the only place we found that was touristy.Re: Still Filling The BUCKET List - Alaska 2018We drove from Maryland to Alaska in 2010 in a LTV Class B. We were gone for 3 months and 14,000 miles. The only short ferry ride we took was from Haines to Skagway. We drove the tunnel from Portage to Whittier, had lunch there and drove back. If we were younger, would love to do that trip again.
