Here's the TC in July on Bear Valley Creek just off Dagger Falls Rd. Lots of mosquitos but really nice! So nice to see the sun out again! and even better to drive the '05 CTD instead of the '98 - no longer the one holding up traffic on the uphill parts of hwy 20 :) Cheers, Clarice edit: the trip included Craters of the Moon - really neat place to visit! SilverMoonJune11_604 by shrxwin, on FlickrRe: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper HereIt took longer to get the camper out on the road with the new (to us) truck but we finally made it - and WOW the difference driving a diesel dually vs. a 3/4 ton is night and day, couldn't be happier about making the switch! We camped at the equestrian area at Bruneau Sand Dune State park here in Idaho, Southwest of Boise, about 120 miles round trip for our first overnighter. Friday evening after getting settled in This morning as the storm rolled in, not too many people in the parking area by the lake and dunes Re: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper Hereprettier than many campsites - the Dump Station at the Stanley Ranger Station!! Re: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper Hereheadwaters of the Big Wood River, north of Ketchum/Sun Valley Re: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper HereOwyhee River, Southeast Oregon - where we didn't camp, then where we did camp. And yes, our chairs are pointed away from the river - we wanted to soak up the afternoon sun as much as possible!! great weekend! Re: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper HereThis past Friday night was the first time since we got the TC over a year ago that we had to just pull over and sleep where we were. We ended up on the river side of highway 55 between Horseshoe Bend and Banks. We ignored the road noise and just kept reminding ourselves that THIS is why we have a TC - we can park anywhere, hop in back to eat & sleep and hit the road in the AM with little muss and fuss. with that said, I am hoping that we won't have to do THAT again for another year or two!! Clarice Re: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper HereSouth Fork of the Boise River below Anderson Ranch Dam on Saturday June 7th - cool and breezy day - but still great! Re: What's behind the name? Screen name that is.back before I got smart and fled my home state of California, I was a season ticket holder and big San Jose Sharks hockey fan, and they always lost (expansion team) so it seemed both ironic and upbeat to get a license plate "SHRXWIN"... Those plates are sitting in the garage now, but the email and login lives on!! Cheers, Clarice
