I frequently take trips with no motos in the back and always roll w/ the benches up. I was thinking it would be nice to roll w/ the benches down so when we take breaks, or stop for lunch, etc., I don't have to mess w/ the latches and whatnot. I know it's not that much time to put them down, but I'm curious if anyone does this! Thanks!Re: It is a BIG desert! We just camped out at JV last T-day weekend. After spending a few years at Boone Rd w/ the city we decided to get away from it all. Now that everyone in our group has a 4x4 tow vehicle, we just went up Camp Rock Rd and turned off into the brush and made our own spot. Had a glorious weekend with nobody near our camp. Great weekend! Rode up some ridges to the south and could see the dust bowls of Soggy Dry Lake and Means... no thanks! That said, one year at Ocotillo we had a guy pull within 20 yards of our large group. We did the nice thing and went to talk to him about his proximity. He just said, "this is my spot, I always camp here" and he refused to move. He made some other comments about not giving a******what we think and "it's a free country" and whatnot. Unfortunately for him he was close to one of the mini-tracks that had been cut in and we encouraged our kids to loop it all day long. We tried to be nice but it didn't work. Wasn't a holiday either and there was plenty of space.Re: Fuel Station ProblemsMine did a similar thing... the impellers got swollen and would seize up causing the pump to trip the fuse. Like Cabinetmaker, I sanded the impellers, replaced the fuse and all is well. I now keep sandpaper in my trailer tool box in case this happens again. I use vice grips to clamp the fuel line while I open up the pump. It's a ten minute (tops) job. Good luck!Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~Here's a couple of our recent sites. No site numbers, no hookups. Plenty of space to spread out:
