Ecoboost with max tow works great my tt is more than twice as heavy as yours 8500 lbs. loaded for camping and pulls it great hope you are as happy with yours as I am with mine after 2.5 years :)Re: What TV will handle a 7-8k GVWR TT ?We have a 2011 Ford F150 screw 6.5' box ecoboost max tow pulls our tt (8500# loaded for camping ) very well with the wd hitch set up properly. We get about 11 usmpg towing. As a dd it is comfortable .Gas mileage is ok (vary dependant on driving habits ) great power if I was to buy a new one the only change I would make is to get the HD option (not available when I got mine).I think all the trucks you listed would be good so test drive them all if you like the F150 to get max tow with HD you will probably have to order itRe: 2014 silverados hitting dealersOver the last 40 years of driving I have owned Ford Chevrolet GMC and Dodge some new mostly used have had good and bad in all makes thay all have been worth less as soon as I drove them off the lot I have a bot new 2011 F150 and a 2012 Escape both have been great vehicles but I think all brands have their good points. Have a great Ford dealership:DRe: Big Block to EcoBoostWe have a 2011 F150 screw ecoboost 6.5 box max tow and a Freedom Express 310 BHDS we are very happy with the combination tow's wall and gets similar mileage to the op great tv and dd :DRe: Using our TT to move cross-country.Sounds like a great way to move to get into Canada pass port's may be required and if you are transporting any firearms you will need permits or find another way to get them to Alaska call Canada Costumes to see what you are able to do but don't just show up at the border with them :)Re: Chevy or FordI have a 2011 F150 screw 6.5'bed ecoboost max tow 40k km. It pulls our Freedom Express 310 BHDS well it is a bit heavier than yours I am happy with mine its a great dd and tows well no issues with the truck but it is at the top of its capability anything bigger for a tt and I would get a 3/4 ton :B thay all have good and bad points so get what makes you happy;)Re: Tetons/Yellowstone/GlacierDepending on where you plan to cross Cypress Hills interprovincial park is popular south of Maple Creek SK. Highways from the south not very good best crossing would be Wild Horse Montana Waterton National Park is north of Glacier Park might be more help if I knew where you plan to crossRe: How well does a 28BH track behind tow vehicleYou have to go wide around the corner your trailer will track inside your tv but it won't be a lot if you are able to find a empty parking lot practices turning it will help even our 310 BHDS and F150 screw 6.5'box can get around almost any corner happy camping you shouldn't need both lanes you will need all of your lane still best to practice someplace with lots of room if you can:BRe: Going to look at new 1500 crew cabs todayWe have a 2011 F150 screw ecoboost max tow 6.5 box it is a XTR it pulls our Freedom Express 310 BHDS very well we haven't had any issues with the motor I love my ecoboost the new ones are even better I am at the top of the towing ability of this tv but if you stay with an appropriate tt it is a great dd/tv combination:B
