Very much looking forward to getting out in my new unit. The wet bay is quite a bit different than what I have used before. During my PDI walkthrough yesterday, the RV tech explained the winterization process. The wet bay has a B&B Moldings hot water tank bypass valve. The Tech suggested the winterizing process as follows: 1. Drain all lines via the low point drains and opening all the taps 2. Close the low point drains and inside taps. 3. Flip the B&B valve to HW Tank Bypass 4. Add antifreeze to the system, and get flow to all taps My concern is that how do the lines to and from the HW tank get hit with antifreeze? There is no bypass directly at the hot water tank like I am used to with previous RV's I have owned. Thanks for advice in advance.Re: Tow Bar connection to F150 Tow Hooks JoeH wrote: The Blue Ox base plate for my F150 ( 2015) replaced the tow hooks. Just remove the tow hooks and bolt on the nubs for the tow bar attachment. No modification of anything on the F150 . Looking at the installation videos online I would have to remove a significant amount of the front bumper and grille assembly. Hence I’m interested in the setup that simply attaches to the factory mounted tow hooks.Tow Bar connection to F150 Tow HooksThis topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 30269530Tow Bar connection to F150 Tow HooksHi all On a recent camping trip I saw someone flat towing a Ram 1500 with a tow bar assembly that simply connected to the tow hooks on the truck. I’ve looked briefly for a setup that would similarly fit my 2019 F150 but haven’t found one that doesn’t require substantial modifications to the vehicle (typical base plate setup). Can anyone direct me to an appropriate setup? I already have a Blue Ox setup for my wife’s Ford Explorer but would like to take my F150 flat towed behind my MH. Thanks in advance.Re: Dometic Duo Therm AC issueUpdate: I made some sun shades out of white chloroplast and bungees them over each AC. Both units have been running strong since. Maybe white shrouds would do the trick??Re: Dometic Duo Therm AC issueThanks again Doug. In your PS comment you mention disconnecting the front to back comm line. Is this something I can try independent of the board swap? Not sure I have the know-how to do the board swap.Re: Dometic Duo Therm AC issueYes I inspected the 2 connections on the board. There are 4 connectors in the back evap area, then 3 in the front evap (one of which deadheads into a quick connect as you suggest. All connectors look clean. I also inspected the connector at the back of the thermostat. Any more suggestions? My unit was up to 42C today. Thanks again.Re: Dometic Duo Therm AC issueOk further update. I went up and inspected the RJ11 leads on the back unit (which in my case is the control unit). The wire leads and connection ports on the main board were free of corrosion and/or oxidation. My RV dealer is now saying that dometic has had struggles with the black AC covers. On a hunch, I put wet white towels over my ac covers. Within a half hour both fired up again. My dealer is suggesting I replace my covers with white ones to see if that helps. He is also going to see if my extended warranty will replace the boards on both units.Re: Dometic Duo Therm AC issueThanks Doug My units do have heat pumps. From what I can see the phone connectors are inside the RV accessible through the air intake grates on the ac units. I cannot see any significant corrosion on the connectors. I quickly took a look under the AC shrouds and didn’t see any phone connectors near the control boards, but I’ll look again.Re: Dometic Duo Therm AC issueMy thermostat system uses the RJ11 phone style connectors. Not sure how to connect another thermostat that doesn’t use this connector type?
