This year we visited the Recycled Tire Playground at the Hilton Area of the state park. There is also primitive camping in this area of the park. The Hilton Area is about a 10-15 minute drive from the Hollofield Area – the playground is designed for kids ages 5-12. We wanted to try to make it back to the Avalon/Orange Grove/Glen Artney area yesterday before we came home to see Cascade Falls again but it was raining and no one felt like walking in the rain so we just packed up and left.Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~.....Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~Kings Dominion Camp Wilderness Site 182 - I like this section of the campground the sites are great if you camp with friends as they are all awning to awning sites. I have no idea what goofy DS was up to. Utilities are shared with neighbors to your back.Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~Morgan RV Resorts, May's Landing , NJ We were in site K-10 but were camping with a group of 6 other families and were able to set up a group fire ring in the center of all the sites. I had read reviews that these sites were tight and they were but since we were with a group it didn't matter. We booked under their $15 a night Spring Special so we couldn’t beat the rates. Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~Yogi's Jellystone Park, Luray, VA Site 139 Hubby wasn't very fond of this site as it had a small yard and so did the site behind it (luckily they were our friends) compared to the other sites around us but it didn't really bother me at all. This is site 138 (our friends behind us) Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~Hocking Hills KOA - Logan, Ohio Site # 11 and a different view from the hayride a row over - Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~Patapsco Valley State Park - Ellicot City, MD Site Number 401 We stayed at this same site last year so I think I already posted photos of it but just sharing to show that nothing has changed:) Oh and this year we visited the Orange Grove area - it's about 20 minutes from the Hollifield camping area. We walked across the suspension bridge and also hiked the trail to Cascade Falls - I'm sure it's clearly posted somewhere and I just missed it but if you want to see the falls take the first left when the trail splits - the right will send you very high up on a mountain with 3 river crossings (from personal experience - I don't advise anyone attempting this with a 2 & 3 year old but they were troopers and for some reason loved it.) Hiking upward water crossing on the boulders - yes that is the trail blaze marker on the boulder meaning you must cross here smaller waterfall uptrail Cascade Falls - surprisingly not as "full" as I had expected especially after 2 days of rain Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~Jellystone Park - Hagerstown, MD Site 711 Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~Hershey Highmeadow Campground Site 155 Hagerstown/Antitam KOA Site 64 - full hook up (50amp) all sites appeared on the smaller side but nice campground with some scheduled activiites
