The Victron can use battery and solar together with my 2000 watt generator to get my AC to run on generator or run a coffee maker with out generator. I have a 50 amp plug on my trailer. I only have one AC and use a 30 amp cord everywhere I go with an adaptor I’m going to buy a Victron multiplus 3000. It has 50 amp pass through. If I wire it up as a 50 amp system, it can only pass through one 50 amp leg. Only half my RV would be powered Can I combine the 2 hot wires together and turn my trailer into a 30 amp? I would then not be able to plug into a 50 amp receptacle with out a 30 amp adaptor Does that make sense? Thanks Linc2.4KViews0likes8CommentsRe: Switching From Hensley To SwayPro
I fulltime in a trailer with a Propride. We move about every 4 days. I have no issues hooking up or unhooking. Angles don't matter, just make sure your straight with the hitch and back right in. I think the Hensley stinger is a substandard construction and it causes some people grief. When I get unhitch, I raise tongue jack to about where I think the truck would sit unloaded. I then back off the screw jacks until the WD bars are loose. I then look at the top of the stinger in the receiver and I raise or lower the tongue jack until I see the stinger move in the receiver. Then pull truck forward. Works everytime. Hitching up my 10yr old son adjusts tongue jack while I back in. Takes all of 15 seconds to get it right. Linc707Views0likes0CommentsRe: Surge protectors
My plan is to buy a proggressive industries EMS. Not a huge difference wether I buy 50 or 30 amp version I use a 50 amp female to 30 amp male at the side of my trailer. Then 30 amp cords exclusively. I see now they sell 25ft cords with 50A female and 30A male ends Most new trailers come with a 50 A cord if prepped for second AC. I have 2 breakers labeled air conditioner.
