I can see not wanting to use a crate, all day long, outside, while you are at work. But a 6 x 6 kennel is a fair compromise. We crate them at night and during the day we have 3/4 of an acre fenced in for them to run around in. The problem is that the city says I have to put my camper back there with them...lol I'll get the back yard divided at some point when I can to keep them away from the toys but until then I was just trying to see if anyone else had a different solution than the fencing wire...looks like I'm the only one with a dog that would chew my brake wires or gnaw on the low point drains, who knew my poor babies were so badly behaved! ;) Everyone meet Toby, my sweet little chewer... He is 150 pounds of pure puppy love! Here is my temporary solution, keeping my fingers crossed it holds up for awhile. Re: How to keep dogs from under it?This is in my fenced in back yard.Re: How to keep dogs from under it?They aren't really dangling so much as easy to see and get to, especially all the wires going to the holding tanks. The low point drains hang down in plain view. We have 3 dogs, 2 of which are English mastiffs one of which is a year old and still a puppy and not out of his chewing phase. I've had to replace the wires on my boat trailer and replace the plug on the campers power cord already. I'd rather not get home and find all my drain plugs and holding tank wires chewed off. Lol it has the plastic under the main camper part, but not below the holding tanks. How to keep dogs from under it?So I pulled my camper into the back yard to store it for a month and I crawled under it to look and see what I would need to puppy proof....and it's not possible. There are wires and hoses dangling everywhere. What have you done to keep dogs from under your trailer? I ended up running and picking up some 2' tall wire and a bunch of short t posts...planning on building a short barrier around the trailer. Any better ideas out there so I don't kill the dogs when I get home next month?Re: Outdoor grill hookup questionsLooks like the stove might be high pressure and the quick connect on my trailer is low pressure...Looks like this will be a little more involved than a 6" adapter. Hama, the link in your first post has quick connect on both ends....I was looking for screw end to quick connect end but I don't think that will fix my problem until I figure out for sure the pressure.Re: Outdoor grill hookup questionsThe fitting on the grill will accept the little green coleman bottles...any idea what size fitting that would be so I can find the right one.Re: Outdoor grill hookup questions Hama wrote: However I wouldn't use a stove that close to my trailer. Your choice Isn't that what the stoves and mounts are made for? And this has been used outside of a popup a lot...could it hurt my hard side even though it didn't mess with the popup?Outdoor grill hookup questionsI picked up a 2013 Jayco X23B recently and it had a mounting bracket for a grill on the side and a quick connect for the gas underneath. I've been shopping around for something to put there and had a cousin that gave me a stove he used on an old popup camper they had...score! haha Anyways, it mounts right up but the hose is about 2" too short and it has a screw type connector where my camper has the quick connect. Is it possible for me to find like a 6" adapter? What are my options to make this work? Here is the stove Connector on the stove Connector on the camper Re: Factory Installed Brake ControllersI have the factory controller in my 16 Ram and love it once I learned to set it up. Factory settings you could turn it all the way up and barely feel the trailer brakes working. Once it was set right I have my gain on around 4.5 and the trailer will stop the truck from rolling just by manually pressing the control like it's supposed to. Mine is also on the right hand side in the dash.Re: First Timer – TV and new TT helpCheck into the hybrid trailers....I know there are a lot of people who don't care for them because of the vinyl popouts but we absolutely LOVE ours (of course I have tent and hammock camped for a while now also, your mileage may vary). I like the fact that I was able to find a shorter lighter trailer that still has lots of room on the inside when it's setup. I ended up with a Jayco X23B.
