I replaced my original P-metrics at 50k miles with P's again because they ride so well and have more than adequate load rating, even with my light truck camper and boat. During the winter, when the camper's off, my truck is my smooth riding SUV :)Re: Lite craft camperI like your camper... nice and light makes for worry free travels. I've been using my pop-up year-round for 11 years. The winter ice-fishing trips sometimes see overnight temps around -20F so I made block foam insulation for the windows, covered with fabric that matches the interior. Really makes a difference when its cold. I also added a 1500W cadet (electric) heater for times when AC power is available. Very quiet compared to the propane heater. Have fun!Re: Changing ps tires to LT tires? Which ones? You really don't need to change your tires. The 265/70R17's already have a higher load rating than you need. I use p-metrics on my Chevy 1/2-ton and I have a slide-in camper AND pull a 18' boat. No problems and the tires are nowhere close to max rating (I drove to the scales to verify).Re: tire questionYou don't need new tires for your light load. I have a similar camper & boat. Very happy with my P-metrics. In fact, I just replaced with the P-metrics because the load rating is much higher than my loaded axle weight. I got 50,000 from the original tires. I did the load range E thing years ago on my F-150 and hated the ride.
