Never had an issue but I do not have much confidence in a tire that is concave in the tread area. All other tires I have seen are all convex, bow out. These tires tread area bow inward. Lionshead indicates they are designed that way. OK. I would rather replace the tires than take the chance of having damage done to my trailer. If I do have a tire issue there is no guarantee there will be trailer damage but why risk it?Re: Blue Ox HitchAnd a long breaker bar with 1" socket instead of the short wrench it comes with. To the OP. Are you talking about the bar that has the chain on one end and placing it into the hitch head on your truck? It should go in pretty easy, with maybe a little force to get the retaining pin to latch the bar in place but nothing that I would call "pounding". Or are you talking about turning the chain brackets into position until the latch catches?Re: Brake Issue - 2007 Tahoe - 106,000 MilesI had the same symptoms but in a motorhome. Scariest drive of my life. Replaced the front calipers right away. Never happened again. This usually happens on vehicles that sit for extended periods of time. Especially if there is a tear or rip in the caliper piston boot. The caliper rusts as it sits. Then it extends under braking and can not retract properly causing it to overheat. Sounds like the perfect time for a brake inspection, overhaul and flush.Re: Tired of carrying 2x6 boards for levelling.I have tried the camco lego style levelers but they broke. I also tried rubber horse stall mats cut into 8x12 pieces. They worked really well but are heavy. I now have 4 sets of Lynx Levelers with the wheel chocks and top caps.Re: Looking into installing 30 TT outlet on my detached garageI just did this last week. I trenched and laid 1" pvc. I had lots of 10 awg thhn on hand so I ran 2 parallel sets of it to minimize the voltage drop. Paralleled 10s came in with less voltage drop then 8 awg did and the copper was free. Now before anyone gets their pants in a twist I know I am using smaller than 1/0 conductors but there is an exception in the NEC provided all the conductors are in the same conduit and the condcutors are sized than any one of them can carry the full load should you lose one. They are all in the same conduit and they are all 10 awg.Re: What do you love about your TT?The space. We crammed a family of 5, 125lb dog and usually a kids friend in a 27' trailer with no slides. The amount of room in a triple slide vs the no slide unit we had is night and day. We love the space inside the trailer. We can actually move around without squeezing past each other every minute.Re: Going RV TV ShowI watch it when I catch it. Who goes to buy and RV, is shown 3 of them and then must choose between the 3? Have you tried Kodi?Re: How do you watch tvOTA or campground cable. I have a usb stick with a bunch of movies on it. If all else fails we can watch the movies off line.Re: Drinking water/filtrationI use one of these: RV Water FilterRe: Archoil Friction Modifier for Power Stroke Diesels rowekmr wrote: I used their oil and fuel additive in my 03 Excursion 6.0L that I got with 220K miles because it was smokey at startup. I also switched to synthetic oil and it did help but did not eliminate the cold start issues. After engine was opened up for bulletproofing found out 4 of the 8 injectors were bad so replaced all 8. After that I didn't use Archoil but I did use a store bought fuel additive on each tankful to preserve the injectors and to increase cetane and lubricity after doing some reading. Never had another issue with it up to 250K when I sold it. There are a few before and after youtube videos on people using the stuff. Some think it works other don't. From my experience I did notice an immediate difference. I was running T6 5w40 and recently switched to Delo LE400 5w40. No complaints so far. I still run AR9100 with each change. I love my 6.0!
