Not to hijack but, I noticed my entrance window on my class C is a little loose and I can move it up or down about two inches. Those screws in the plastic around the edges on the inside are all that is holding the window in place and preventing it from moving? If you can move the glass that much, something must be amiss under that frame.Might want to take it off and check it out.Re: thieves broke in and damaged door greende wrote: Huntdog wrote: Hey Guys, I went out to my lease to check out the damage to the doors. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. The glass in the entry door was broken out and there is a 10" slice in the screen where they reached in and unlocked the door. I measured the entry door window frame and it is 12" x 21" id to id. My question is if I were to have a piece of glass or plexi-glass cut to size, what exact dimensions should it be? Thanks to all, Jim Subtract an eighth to a quarter of an inch. Greende, Did you mean to say subtract? The dimensions I gave were the inside of the frame.I can't see the glass being smaller than the frame. Am I missing something? If anything, I would think it would need to be slightly larger.Re: thieves broke in and damaged door Gearitis wrote: Huntdog wrote: Thanks, I am definitely going to try the Plexi-Glass route. I guess I could just get it cut at a Lowes or Home Depot? Yes you can get it cut there. Take out a few tools to maybe trim or round the edges if needed. I know our lease is out near Leakey, west of Kerrville. Even that far from the larger towns and cities, we get the occasional illegal alien or pack of them, needing a place while crossing the open country. We have an older TT and its pretty well plexi-glassed on the windows. Since it pretty old and will never move again, probably, we screwed the plexi-glass right into the siding over the windows then dicored the leakable areas. But they still pop the lock even with a bolted on hasp and good padlock. They never steal anything. We always take air mattresses and sleeping bags so I guess they sleep right on the boards. First couple times it happened, we were infuriated but we have learned to accept it after 20 years. First of all, thanks for the help. Second, I am glad you have accepted the fact that illegals are using your camp. Do you leave water for those people? I don't necessarily agree with the situation, but they are human beings. I certainly would.Re: thieves broke in and damaged doorHey Guys, I went out to my lease to check out the damage to the doors. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Barney, you might put a game cam out near yours, make sure it is hidden, tho.thieves broke in and damaged doorGreetings everyone, I have a 5 wheel out at a hunting camp about 4 hours away from where I live. Sometime last week, someone broke into several of them, and mine seemed to be the worst. I havn't seen it yet, and I am going out there this coming Friday to check it out.A friend called me about it and put a board on it, to keep the rain out. The thieves broke the window in the door and cut the screen door, got in and took my tv. If the door is not otherwise damaged, can I replace just the window?IF both door and screen are unuseable, should I shop used at dealers or what? Does anyone have any sources, I live in Texas, and the DFW area is close. It is a 27ft 2005 5th wheel. Any suggestion on how to repair would be most appreciated. JimRe: possible freeze problem in water systemT What procedure would you suggest?\*Re: possible freeze problem in water systemI forgot to state that the camper is out at a hunting lease and city water is not available, but electric is. I have to haul water in.Re: possible freeze problem in water systemOK, thanks, I guess the best thing for me to do is fill it up completely, and see what happens.
