2020 F-250
I just traded my 05 F-250 for a 2020 model with a long bed. I need to upgrade my hitch, but my truck doesn't have the dealer prep for the puck system. Has anyone installed aftermarket supports for puck mounted hitches or gotten the Ford dealer to install the factory prep? I have a JAYCO Eagle and I would recommend getting the double pane windows. I bought mine after Hurricane Michael destroyed my house and we lived in it for 2 years. We couldn't keep the RV cool in the summer even with blackout shades on all the windows, extra insulation in the pantry and closets, and foam covers in the vents. We ran both A/C units and they would kick on early in the morning and run constantly until well after dark. I'm doing my final packing to get ready for my Monday morning departure. I've been fighting with the military hospital to get my meds. Five trips to the base and I still don't have my heart meds. I may delay my departure a week or two. We were walking our dogs on Monday and found a puppy in the road. The vet says her injuries are consistent with either being hit by a car or thrown from one. My guess would be that she was hit by one. She doesn't seem to be very street smart. She's been spayed and is in good shape overall. No heartworm, well fed, no fleas and soft feet. She appears to have been well taken care of and an indoor dog. We're searching for the owner, but no luck so far. I just got my new Endurance tires and wheel bearings packed. The rig is in the shop getting the roof resealed. I should get it back the first week of May so i can start packing for my 21 May departure from Florida.
