The tag axel S Chassis is a very solid and stable platform. A real pleasure to drive and your observation is right... they have a very nice fit and finish with high end materials. The wood is exceptional. Be sure to look for high end options like the residential fridge and Aquahot when comparing. Dynasty's are commonly equipped with those and buying used you'll be getting them for a bargain. They are nice to have. Take your time... I own a '07 Dynasty and so I'm always looking to see what they're going for and I've seen some real eye opener deals over the years.Re: Motor home vs 5th wheelThe biggest difference from a comfort level is the time spent behind the wheel of a motor coach vs a pickup truck. On long days on the road there is a huge difference. If you haven't done it, you might say 'my PU is very comfortable'. LOL... No it's not. Then there is having a car (or in my case a Jeep) to use when you're at your destination instead of the truck. That will mean nothing to some but in my case, I get to do things and go places I couldn't with the type of truck used to haul a large 5th Wheel. As far as hook up or set up time and work. The coach is easier and quicker to level, as I just push a button. With my previous 5r, that was much more involved depending on the site.Re: Tires off ground questionMy air leveling system very seldom lifts a tire off the ground.. :-)Re: Personal Cleaning WipesI saw that commercial too. There was a big deal in the news recently about what a problem these things are to the sewer systems in the country and the bilions of dollars that municipal waste management agencies are spending on dealing with them. It seems that in spite of the manufactures claims, they are bad news everywhere. So a RV would be the last place you would want them.Re: hwys in arizonaThere is really no reason to avoid Phoenix freeways. I dread every large city we have to pass through on our travels. Except Phoenix. They arguably have the best and nicest freeway system in the country. It is actually amazing compared to everywhere else.Re: Tire pressure monitoring systems the silverback wrote: Haveing read the above comments I will stay with my hand held tire pressure gauge. However, be sure to get a good one. Not a $9.99 special. I am luckly that I can have mine checked at least once a year at lab that is tracable to the national standards. And when you run over something in the road that starts a leak down of one of your front tires, resulting in heat build-up, that in turn results in a sudden blow-out, that tire guage will be one of the items flying about as you leave the road. Be sure to grab it as it goes by because it's a good one.Re: Tire pressure monitoring systemsAnother TST 507 user..... I've had this TPMS for a little over two years and about 18,000 miles now and have never had a problem. The changeble batts lasted two years (had low batt indicators showing but still working) and I just replaced all of them myself. Very easy and it was back up and running without doing anything other than putting a new battery in each of the sensors. The monitor is compact and easy to read and I like that it shows the temp and pressure on each tire as it cycles thru. I've learned what to expect as far as the normal increase in those as it goes down the road and even see and monitor the unexpected increase in temps on the front tires on down hill grades when using the brakes. They get 8 stars from me (1 for easch of my tires)Re: Durango to MontroseMy opinion on 550.... heading north to Ouray is one thing. You're on the inside of the road with the OMG dropoff on the other side. Not so bad because you're not on "the edge". Going the other way (Ouray to Silverton) isn't something my wife could stand, sitting on that side of the coach and looking over the edge would be more than she could handle. We've driven our car and our motorcycle over that route several times and it's a spectacular and enjoyable ride but if we do it heading south with the RV she is going to follow in the carRe: RV camping , NASCAR at P.I.R., Phoenix.Just purchased tickets for next years March race in Las Vegas. A nice second row infield spot at turn 4 for seven days was $900. That included passes for six adults and a saturday admission to the "electric garage". Arrive on monday before the race and leave on monday after. This will be a first time for us and our 4 year old grandson, who's crazy about cars will go nuts. It looks like level asphalt marked spaces and you get to bring in one tow vehicle for transportatrion in and out. Although we live in AZ we opted for Vegas because it's a much bigger venue with more to do during the week than just be at the track.Re: Opinion: 2013 Monaco LaPalma 32SBDThe 'won't be able to get parts' story that gets attached to the coaches who's manufactures have changed hands or gone bankrupt is always stated by people who don't own one. It's not true. The motor coach world doesn't work that way.
