The naysayers can talk about 7.3s and 8.1s (GM) and I have no rebuttal because I couldn't care less about GM. But I'm told by a happy owner, the Banks kit for the V-10 adds HP and torque. There's always some a-h who is indeed, trying to cast pearls before swine, but once I realized I wanted to RV full time (only way I'd RV, at all) I read about the V10 until I thought my head would explode. But now, y'all can have all that old, cheap **** (7.3, 8.1) and blow it up with C4. My V-10 RV WILL have a FULL Banks kit on it. Best thing you can do with an Onan is take it to Burning Man and burn it. Honda 1000 is all we'll need. Onans are obnoxiously loud and they stink the entire area. Since I do not spend time in the cold I don't worry about Onans. I should probably sell it to someone...just taking up space back at the Howls, maybe I'll sell it cheap to some people who need it, or just give it to them. My RV winterization technique is to spend the winter at the Howls. Warm winter (avg January temp is 66F. Of course, the hot summer temps encourage us to travel to more temperate climates when the desert summer is six weeks off (May Day) and head for cooler climes in the intermountain west. Lots of great trout fishing to try. I've never been close to being a winter person. Don't like snow and ice. As close to winter as I ever want to get is watching the Winter Olympics on the toob. I've read some of the posts in this thread and y'all must have the real pioneer spirit, but those who enjoy winter should do that. But not me. Winter is a time to be endured, not enjoyed. I DO enjoy the winter temps of SW Arizona and Punta Penasco is a two-hour drive in the toad. There is a beachfront RV park where we'd probably go.472Views0likes0CommentsRe: Drinking water/filtration
We will be using two Camco (or equivalent) inline filters, and the "South of the border" system from the RV Filter store, in addition to under-sink ceramic and charcoal filters, PLUS, chemical purification. Given we'll be spending a lot of time in SW Arizona in the winter (Coyote Howls, BABY!!!) and we'll need all the help we can get.545Views0likes0CommentsRe: New much better speakers not much better, help

A port gives you a lot of bass for no extra power. Trying to think of a way to set speakers in an RV. I want to use the entire rig as a passive, ported enclosure. Won't need a sub for bass with nice ported enclosures for the 6.5"speakers (I'll try the GTO 629 coaxials in enclosures) I think a rock, blues, jazz classical fan (me) will do gish fine with my system.
