I smudges them but water will bead up and run off and it last a year no problem. I've used it on my aluminum and fiberglass campers the black streaks wipe right off and is easy to apply without buffing.Re: Leave water on ?We are seasonal campers an this has worked for us and many others in our CG. use fresh water when available never leave it on when going for day trips just in case. you can leave water in your fresh tanks if you want but if not using it can get stale. never leave your black tank open or you will have issues. just dump when full and add chemicals. I leave the grey tanks opened the traps in the sinks seal out the sewer gases. We also sanitize our tanks several times a year and flush them out well.Re: Squirrels kellertx5er wrote: Ground cayenne pepper- get it cheap at the dollar stores and apply liberally. I bought Cayenne peanuts by accident and thought it would be funny to watch the squirrels eat them and run for the nearest water source. heck they loved them and the cayenne didn't bother them they ate the whole bag in 2 days. I found brillo pads work well for plugging holes. they hate the steel wool but the soap also adds another dimension to the issue. I also had a female squirrel with babies in my first house there is nothing that will deter her if the babies are still in there.Re: Outdoor Water Connection Leaksalso a lot of people in our campground think their hose is leaking when in fact there is an antibackflow device that sprays water on occasion. I have seen campers go nuts trying to tighten their hose with pliers and adding gaskets when it is this device spraying water when the neighbor opens their tap or takes a shower.Re: "White" Hose gets Kink and is Hard to HandleWe are seasonal campers and I find that when I buy a new hose I cut it to the length I need to reach my fittings and then there is no extra to kink. Our campground lease says it is state law in Mi. You must use a white hose to connect your camper to their taps. I just buy a cheap 5/8" hose (less water restriction) and replace it every year. We have very hard water in our campground and found that if i don't replace it yearly the rust that accumulates on the inside of the hose flakes off and gets into the faucet aireators.Re: v10 torque vrs dieselI'm telling you I heard all the quotes of torque an H.P. but all I'll tell you is I've driven and towed with both and the diesel will be the best over all with the improvements in electronics and transmissions the diesel engine will get you a ton more miles between rebuilds. It will also get you better mileage. Yes maintenance costs are more but I believe it's a wash for the dependability and power the diesel will give you.Re: You MIGHT be an RV'r if . . .- you tell the kids to get out the good china and it's made by chinette -You finally talk your wife into getting the new diesel pickup cause your old burb doesn't have the tow rating to tow your camper safely and you tow it once to your seasonal site and park it.:W - you teenage daughter know how to take a navy shower in the camper even though they use up a 50 gallon tank in the stick house.:h - your idea of a morning walk is a brisk walk across the street to the restroom because your not allowed to smell up the camper :M
