Noisy A/C unit
Our old unit quit working last year and we replaced with new Dometic one thinking a new one would be quieter. It is as loud as old one so is there anything I can do to cut down the noise. I bought the plastic disc for my fifth wheel hitch and thought it would help on the mess of grease. It worked fine and when I tried to hookup the other day the jaws would not close completely. I bought a Class A unseen once, never again. If you can, go get it and make a vacation out of it. I tow trailers here locally and see people buy trailers that I would never even consider looking at. My fifth wheel is in a campground most of the year and has algae and tree sap on it. I have a Montana with smooth sides and have washed it many times but cannot get the shine back. I have a 2006 Montana and have had an occasional smell from the black tank. I checked the vent and rinsed it several times but would get a bad smell sometimes after flushing toilet. I had a rotating vent cover on my previous trailer so I thought this might help on this one. When I removed the three legged cap over the vent i saw there was no sealent on pipe to flange leaving a gap. The smell was going back into the wall to the bottom where it was going into the heater vent to keep tanks from freezing.
