None of the portable automatic antennas (stipulated by the OP in the heading) are SWM compatible. You CAN run 2 coax cables from the antenna to a SWM8/Power Inserter, then from that point run just 1 cable, but the 2 cables from the antenna to the SWM8 are required. Brain farted on the automatic stipulation in OPs title. You can hangup an auto box that will do that in HD especially. That's why most of us have an HD dish either on a tripod or sled.Re: Portable automatic antennas AllegroD wrote: scubacouple wrote: OK, thanks for the input. I thought I had read about a dish antenna that only required one cable to support 2 receiver/tvs, but may have missed the part about watching the same channel on both. The winegard X2 sounds like a possibility. on bold. No. Each sat. antenna/dish output can only be controlled by 1 receiver. I do not believe Direct TV can do it either as it is a limitation of the antenna/dish. X2 with 2 receivers will work. DirecTV absolutely can do it - and I'm watching it right now. DVR with a wireless video bridge connected at the DVR will run 5 more TVs. And no, it does not require a network or phone connection. Everything works except on demand.Re: Curt hitchThe Curt is not cheap - in quality or price. I just stopped using my Q24 with slider. Why? Weight. There was no way I was getting that thing out of my bed. My other annoyance with it was somewhat of a challenge to hitch and unhitch. Positive lock, yes. But finicky. Am a happy B&W convert.Re: 5th wheel pin box agesilaus wrote: I don't know how many bolts there are, but those boxes are heavy. Have at least two people when you do it. +1 I replaced my factory pin box with a Mor Ryde, and it was heavy. I'd suggest 2 holding it, and 1 person doing bolts. Mine only had 4, but I put an extra 2 in there for good measure. Best of luck!Re: Roof vents and LED bulbsI take online reviews on a site like Amazon or eBay with a grain of salt. A couple reports of hot bulbs? Could be bad bulbs - could equally be someone plugged into a hot pedastal. I've seen some hokey RV setups and never know what someone else is running or deems acceptable. I have clean power coming in, and see hardly any fluctuation on output voltage. I have sat with a voltmeter and looked at what my coach does, especially when high amp devices kick on (like A/C). But then again, i'm far more concerned about my computer equipment than $20 of LED bulbs. My opinion is it ain't the bulbs. YMMV - if you don't do your homework on the front side, be prepared to live with the consequences on the backside.Re: Roof vents and LED bulbsI got these off Amazon because of the reviews. Not a lick of trouble with them, and color is real close to the original incandescent heat machines. Inverter fan doesn't even kick on with every light running in the place. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EKN8FXC/ Had a couple fixtures that needed 360° light shining, so I got these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EDFM6R8 All running great after 4 months full timing. Something of note - the wedge bases on the LEDs is a little thicker that the el cheapos that were in there. Takes a fair amount of pressure to pop them in first time. Be careful, don't bend the paddle on the led light, and you'll be fine. I suspect some of the flickering complaints are as a result of folks manhandling the LEDs on install. I also did a MaxxAir II smoke vent cover last November here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002OW5J44 . Took 15 min to install - very worth it. I don't leave it open in transit, but good to be able to ventilate bathroom when its raining. In case you haven't noticed, I love Amazon. Dont get me wrong, i love Tweety's too, just sometimes they dont get there on price. Am not affiliated with either BTW. This has been the year of the upgrades for me. New 5er, new truck, and commenced to changing parts. I doubt a chicken would fit in there :) As others previously, those check valves are junk. Can be scale, the o-ring, or even the spring broken or hanging up on itself. New check valve is in order. Buy 2, keep one in your water supply toolbox. ETA: fix typoRe: Power Surges vs 12v adapters...what happened? HELP?This thread is great information, and scary as hell...
