Just getting all the info I can because I'm going this morning to talk numbers and hopefully work out a deal. Wish me luck lolRe: Newbie question about warrantee work. midnightsadie wrote: these post are right on the money, but even the selling dealer will take weeks even months to get around to doing warrenty work, just doesn,t pay good. now heres a idea. buy the one you want. and forget the dealer, hire a mobil tech that can do warennty work, #1 faster #2 they come to you #3 most are smarter than the $8. bucks a hour the dealer hires.#4 you get to watch and learn. #4 priceless I was unaware this was even a thing. Would I just Google a mobile trailer repair or is there a place people up to find one in your area? Thanks!Newbie question about warrantee work. This may be a dumb question lol. I own a trailer but never owned a new one that has a warrantee. If your trailer needs work done, can you take it to any rv dealer that retails your brand of trailer or do you have to bring it to where you bought it? I'm assuming(you know what they say when you assume) it's exactly like a car and that you can take it anywhere. Reason I'm asking actually had nothing to do with needing any work. I'm actually considering getting a new camper but the dealership is like 3 hours away. I have a dealership 4 miles from my house that sells the one I want. If I can't convince them to give me the other price, I want to know I can get service there in the future.ThanksRe: Looking to start the process and would like some advice. gmw photos wrote: Lwiddis wrote: “I have a 2016 GMC Sierra 2500HD that is rated for 14000lbs so I'm good there” Possibly but why did you leave out your TV’s payload capacity? 1,300 to 1,400 tongue weight, WDH 100 or so, what are you carrying in the TV other than you and a full tank of gas? He left it out of the discussion because he's smart and knows the payload number doesn't mean diddly-do on his truck. Very capable tow vehicle. Lol yes that's correct. I don't remember it because I've never had to tow anything that comes close to it's capabilities.Re: Looking to start the process and would like some advice. Because I don't remember it off the top of my head and the post wasn't about whether or not my TV could haul it down the road. I think my payload is somewhere around 3K but I'd have to look it up. I have a WDH and typical camping gear and my wife and 3 kids and two dogs.Re: Looking to start the process and would like some advice. WNYBob wrote: Addins are a good way to get more value. Dealer pays 30 to 50 % less and you get retail value. A win win! What do you mean by this? Like asking them to throw in tv's or a power tongue jack?Re: Looking to start the process and would like some advice. kerrlakeRoo wrote: The only other point would be checking the price and package for add on charges. Some dealers will wait till after a price is agreed to, and then add shipping, documemtation, dealer prep, and even a PDI fee. These fee's can easily add up to $2500 or more. Another dealer may have an identical unit priced a few hundred more than the one you are looking at, but if they are a bottom line pricing dealer, they may be a lot cheaper when the deal is done. Most dealers that price their inventory "out the door" proudly say so on their website. White Horse does not that I could see. That doesnt make it a bad deal or dealer, just approach it with your eyes open and aware of whats included in your deal. Thank you! All great info.Re: Looking to start the process and would like some advice. lawrosa wrote: If your going to spend that much get the 313DBDSCKLE with the 1/2 bath. If you have kids youll be glad you did. ***Link Removed*** Yeah that's another $3500. That's overboard now lolRe: Looking to start the process and would like some advice. DutchmenSport wrote: Looking at the photos and doing some internet searching, I think the price is fair. Negotiate for anything lower, see how far they are willing to go. In all the different web sites I looked it, there is no mention of propane tanks. Check to make sure the sale price includes the propane tanks, and 30 pound or 20 pound --- 2 of them. Good eye! I mentioned that already and they are included. Thank you!Re: Looking to start the process and would like some advice. lawrosa wrote: Njlungbuster wrote: So my wife and I decided on the trailer we are going to go after. It's a 2018 Coachmen Catalina SBX 321BHDSCK. From what I've found, the sale price isn't horrible. Anyone have one of these models and if so, how does this price compare? What can I realistically expect to get off the sale price? Thanks. https://www.whitehorserv.com/2...new-travel-trailer-nj-i1935074 I bought mine at keystone RV... Whites horse was 3000 bucks more. The issue if you dont buy local is getting it to the dealer for warranty work. Thats a good price but I wouldn't want to pay it.. I wouldnt pay over 20k Here is a similar model for 18K ***Link Removed*** Hey a fellow Jersey resident! Whitehorse is literally only like 4 miles from my house so it's definitely nice to know that any work that may be needed will be easy to get to. I've searched a good amount and like I said I haven't found any cheaper than that price. As for the model you sent the link for, my wife and I talked about that one and decided that we didn't like the layout plus the bigger back room is desired as we have three kids.
