The trick is to mount it inside a cupboard with enough space to allow the width and height of the rack and glasses. Clicky Hope this helps. KathyRe: Help with Sept/Oct trip Seattle to PhoenixWe are getting ready to depart on our adventure in a Cruise America motorhome from Seattle to Phoenix. Any last words of advice for routes, attractions, parks, etc? Right now, thinking of going towards Leavenworth, then down through Yakima and on to Bend, Or, then maybe over to Lakeview or Klamath Falls. Which route would be better? After that, thinking about northern CA then western NV, Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Lake Havasu, and Quartzite before heading east to Phoenix. Your thoughts? Thanks in advance, KathyRe: Help with Sept/Oct trip Seattle to PhoenixThanks for the info. More route/attraction information would be appreciated. Are Mt Rainier and Mt. Hood parks worth stopping at? It appears National forest campgrounds will be closing early Sept. so boondocking will be our next choice. What would be good boondocking routes, maybe in NV or AZ? Thanks again, KathyRe: Help with Sept/Oct trip Seattle to PhoenixThanks for the replies thus far. My weather concerns are for the northern end of our journey. Concerned about snow in the higher elevations of WA and OR. Thought the first leg would take us through Yakima then south toward Bend and towards Lakeview as suggested. Thanks for that info, the area sounds just like what we are looking for, scenic but desolate. Keep the info coming! KathyHelp with Sept/Oct trip Seattle to PhoenixHi everyone, We are making a trip from Seattle to Phoenix, the end of September into the first week of October. We will be traveling in a 20' Cruise America motorhome. Our thoughts are to travel away from the coast, to Bend, OR, into northern CA, then western NV and western AZ. Should we be concerned about possible winter weather? Any route/scenic attractions information is appreciated. Campground/boondocking suggestions are also appreciated. Thanks in advance, KathyRe: What to see Denver to PhoenixThanks to all for the great ideas, especially Busskipper who nicely provided a Travel Agent's route and one we will probably try to follow as it sounds feasible with our limited number of days and miles. RV travelers are the best and always willing to share their knowledge. Thanks again, KathyRe: What to see Denver to PhoenixAll suggestions are indeed welcome. Knowledge helps with preparation. What are your thoughts about the BLM campgrounds near Moab, the area around Escalante, and the 4 corners? We love Sedona, so hope to drive through red rock country as well. With a limited number of nights, we would like to refine our travels and see the best areas. Thanks again, KathyRe: What to see Denver to PhoenixThanks so much for the great suggestions. We actually have only 6 days to make the trip (days allowed by Cruise America), but I will print off your ideas, and try to hit the best ones. Thanks again, we are looking forward to the trip and since we don't leave for another 2 weeks, more suggestions are welcome. Especially looking for dry camping areas/campgrounds with views. There's nothing like sitting outside with beautiful views to feast the eyes on. KathyWhat to see Denver to PhoenixHi everyone, I like to turn to seasoned RV travelers for information. We are driving a Cruise America MH from Denver to Phoenix in 2 weeks, and would like to see the National Parks and Monuments of Southeast Utah. We've been to Bryce and Zion, so no need to return there. What would you suggest we see and do in this area? We enjoy drycamping, no need for hookups. Hiking is another activity we enjoy, so all ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance, KathyRe: For Those With Only Summer To TravelIn 2008 our 10 year old granddaughter flew by herself on a direct flight from Detroit to Anchorage. We drove to AK earlier in the summer and picked her up at the airport, then she spent a month with us in our fifthwheel seeing the sights of Alaska. Because of a wedding we had to attend in August, we flew home with her, then returned to start our journey home. She is 14 now and still talks about our experiences that summer, from the bear we saw, to fishing in Valdez, riding the tram in Girdwood, etc. It was priceless! I would definately give thought to Alaska. Kathy
