They also have some dvd's or movies on you tube to learn about some function about the RV or TT. The you tube "classes" seem to be 3-6 minutes. Enough to have you feeling more confident as you look at dealerships or private sales. Definitely make sure of the weight, etc. so you can enjoy it more. Especially once this cold weather gets over.Re: what to do.I agree you need to find a support group for the spouses of people with MS or whatever they decide your wife has. Check at one of the hospitals that is connected to a university. The support group will give you a place to talk to other people going thru the same thing. This way too, you can compare notes on doctors, staff, etc. Also, find a support group that can help you with respite care where one weekend every few months, someone will care for your wife while you go fish or something to relax or you will be laid up and unable to advocate for her. My husband volunteers at an Adult Day care for people with Alzheimeirs or other problems with the brain. This gives the family members 4 hours a day to do other things, they are cared for and entertained, play dominos, etc. Once a month on the weekends, they will have 3 of the clients stay over from Friday evening to Sunday. Zale Lipshy University Hospital is next door to Parkland Hospital in Dallas and connected to UT Health Sciences. Zale Lipshy specializes on problems with the brain. My husband had a large sub frontal brain tumor that was successfully removed in 2002. Thank heavens it was benign. He became a day client at the treatment center from July to December 2002, where they decided he didn't need to be a client but has worked as a volunteer. Hope you find better treatment for her, although you may need to go to another state.Re: Park Model with RV ParkingThe Hill Country RV Resort just sent me an e-mail that they have a new web page and also have 18 new park models. They are located off IH 35, but depending on if you are in the front of back depends on how much traffic you hear. I was at the front and it wasn't too noticeable. The one in Gladewater is Antique Capitol RV park because it is near Canton. Mill Creek is the other one I was trying to remember. I remember seeing the signs when traveling on IH 20. Both Mill Creek and Antique Capitol RV Park are near the Tanger Outlet mall in Terrell. Near there when you are traveling East on IH20, you will pass some pasture land that has some exotic animals. I remember some camels, zebras, several different kind of cattle. It is just interesting to see something different.Re: Park Model with RV ParkingBoth of these places, in part of their advertising, say it is a way that families can be together. If some of the families have a MH or trailer and others don't, then they can rent a park model and everyone is not crowded into the MH - especially since most parks do not allow tents to be erected around the MH. There is another park around Canton that also has cottages as well as RV slots. I cannot remember the name right now. The ones I mentioned also have a large party room to get everyone together.Re: New Summer Ideas - Hilton Head SC?Jim Shoe I know they were asking about Hilton Head and it is in the opposite direction. They were looking for ideas with two teenagers. At that age, there are places where they can get to beaches or I believe Cherry Hill has a pool, but what is wrong with going the opposite direction, especially with teenagers so they can do something different - maybe educational - without the electronic equipment? They can still get exercise, but they are old enough to appreciate the museums and monuments at our nations capitol.Re: DIY sleeper dinette...advise pleaseMy MH had the dinette benches with the pull down table to make a double bed. The only problem I had was there was a door on the base, but unless I had something right there to get from the door, you had to get people off the bench, take off cushions, then open the door on the base to get to storage. I later had drawers made in the base and we just took off the door and used it for the drawer front. The bench is 36" but the carpenter only had 24" slides, so they put a divider at the 24" mark and we reserve the far end storage for things we don't need every day. The benches can still be used for a bed.Re: Fogged side front windowGo to www.RVfogdr.com. They are located about 30 miles northeast of Little Rock, AR. I had the right front window done in 2010 and the driver's window done last year. It is about $200-400 depending on if they have to replace one of the windows. They take them apart, clean them and if the glassed is etched, then they can cut another glass before putting them back together. I have not had any problems with either window.Re: Back in the RV game!Duncan RV Repair in Elkhart,IN http://www.duncanrvrepair.com/?ref=hartcity might be able to help. Contact the Elkhart, IN Chamber of Commerce and they should be able to help you find some of the warehouses there that bought out the different companies that went out of business in the last few years. I agree with Dtaylor about writing down the name and numbers of the different appliances or equipment - like the brand of generator - and contact them for manuals.Re: Wintering in TexasLake Corpus Christi RV Park is nice. It is north of Corpus. NOTE: Corpus Christi is now a hands free cell phones only. No talking with hand held phones or texting. Several other cities - DFW, Houston and Austin had talked of doing it. Some cities are no cell phone usage in school zones.Re: New Summer Ideas - Hilton Head SC?I was thinking at that age, there is a RV park in the Washington DC area, I want to say it is Cherry Hill Park. They are on public transit system. From there you can visit a different Smithsonian Museum every day. We were stationed in the area for 2 years and visited Air and Space and still did not see everything. There is also a new Air and Space museum that is near one of the airports. If you go there, you can travel on the Baltimore Washington parkway and exit where the NSA sign is. You can visit the National Cryptologic Museum. The docents are retired NSA workers. There are all kinds of encryption machines from the past, they tell you about the codetalkers, have a display of the USS Cole, etc. The last time we were there, it was free. Also, in the town is the shopping center where Gov. Wallace was shot at a shopping mall. You can either do day trips to Baltimore or stay so long at Cherry Hill, then go to Baltimore. The Inner Harbor is very interesting. They have the aquarium there and several World War II and Korea ships to tour. Annapolis is not very far and you can tour the Naval Academy. There are some beaches in the area also. If I had kids, that is where I would be. You can take coolers into the museums - or at least you used to - as well as take the metro to the zoo and with your Congressmans help can tour the White House or Capitol.
