thanks for posting this, I had not given thought to weather the LI-ion batteries would start my Onan. I was just about to do a conversion from 4 100ah AGMs to 4 100ah Li-ions so the timing of this post saved me from the same situation. Apologize for the delay in getting back to this post. In 2018 I purchased 2 struts for my Heki 2 from SGS Engineering (UK) Ltd, 1 Westside Park, Belmore Way, Raynesway, Derby. They were very pleasant to work with and shipped direct to my home in Kansas. The cost for two including shippiing was 48.43 pound sterling which at the time equated to $64.02 US. ($1.92 Citicard transaction fee). I just checked their website and they still have them, part number NL 5030 which you can find under Gas Struts/Gas Strut Application/Roof Light for 20.39 pound sterling. Hope this helps someone in the future looking for parts. When I first bought my Host Everest in 2012, and put it on an ‘01 F350 dually with Michelin 19.5s, I had air bags, Rancho 9000s, and upper stable loads; and it did porpoise. When I added the lower stable loads with all three wedges engaged, it became almost non-existant, just when we hid a dip in the road or big bump. Unfortunately it now rides like a tank. I had the opportunity to ride recently in a friends new RAM 3500 hauling a Host Cascade and that was like riding in a Cadillac.440Views0likes0Comments
