I've used the Pullrite SuperGlide for about 15 years now. Can't say enough good things about it. Of course I took it completely apart once to have it powder coated again! It has all of the same parts as original minus the rubber yellow sleeve on the handle and 1 set of Supergilde color adhesive stickers. You can buy an extra plate that you can use on others people trailers is you ever need to move other people rigs. I welded my plate to the pin box just to make it a non issue.734Views0likes0CommentsRe: BFG Commercial TA reliability
Had a BFG Commercial TA lose the tread and caused about $5k damage to the floor of the tailer last month. We stopped in about 300 feet from the initial tire separation event. I purchased another set because the dealer said it would look better for me on the claim. Next time I'll go elsewhere for a tire manufacturer. I have nothing to add to this thread. I just wanted to post to a 649 page thread once in my life. Thnak you! I have a couple of customers who make large municipal sized gate valves (60 inch range). The tolerances in Chinese made valves actually exceed the American made valves even though the plans/drawings are identical. The cost difference including freight is still too good to pass up. They shared some learned lessons from dealing with the Chinese. If you explain the application, the needed attention to detail, reputation of compnay and final product, the Chinese negotiate those factors into the price of the product and have their employees produce the product with those factors in mind. If you send them drawings and just negotiate price - it's a******shoot as to what you finally receive. Kind of a you get what you pay for and if you negotiate like a person/company that cares about your product- they respect that and mirror that in return. Some american companies find a manufacturer over there- tell them what to make - just negotiate price and unfortunately the USA consumers neding up holding the bag, i.e. Chines tires, toys etc..
