It is common to have them break after over torquing.Re: Just Something To Think About. After spending a couple of weeks at the Crown Club at Lazy Days, I can say that everything is relative. While the difference between a 1 million dollar King Aire and a 2 million dollar Prevost may well mostly be the chassis and partly the fact that the Prevost is totally custom. Look at a 600,000 motorhome and a 400,000 motorhome. The difference is in the complexity of the systems. Unless you have really check out very modern high end coaches, you would have no idea how complex the systems have gotten. I have a 2012 Discovery and the difference between the 2018 Discovery and the 2012 Discovery systems is shocking. The difference between a 2018 Discovery and a 2018 American Coach is similarly shocking. Discovery 2 Furnaces amd a 10- gallon water heater. The AC has Aquahot. The Discovery has 3 cameras to use while driving, the AC has 8 cameras that can be accessed from several places in the coach to use as security. The Discovery has a very nice fiberglass shower. The AC has tile. I could go on and on. The point being that the same floor plan RV can have various price points and there are buyers at all price points. Maybe the more expensive RV has more profit in it. But to say it is just glitz and extra profit probably do not tell the whole story. It is okay for people to have a nicer coach than you do without trying to convince yourself that you made a smarter purchase. In the end, no RV is a smart purchase.Re: It's back....and I'm stumpedIt sounds like sewer gas coming up the overflow tubes in the toilet bowl. Try holding the flush valve up until the water starts going down the over flow holes. There is a trap of sorts in there that can go dry. It can also get emptied when you have the toilet up replacing the gasket. Run a fair amount of water through those as it can't hurt to wash out any dried urine also.Re: Gas stations you can get in and out of.....It cracks me up when someone from west of I81 makes comments about gas stations having plenty of room. Try getting gas in the Philly suburbs. Its nearly impossible. I once needed a fill so badly that I was willing to sit on RT30 in Villanova until the lane opened up for the outside pumps. Many of our gas stations are about 1/3 the size of gas stations in other parts of the country. In this area gas could not be delivered by double tankers, because double semis are illegal except on the interstates. The issue the original poster has is that HE CANT BACK UP BECAUSE OF THE TOAD. I try to use Turnpike rest stops and Truck Stops. Plan your escape in advance.Re: Leak around base of Toilet.I had a 97 endeavor. The floor was rotten right around the base of the toilet and the toilet flange had cracked because it was not being supported. I ended up installing a sheet of 3/4 inch exterior plywood OVER the tile in the area around the toilet. Then I installed a new toilet flange and a piece of PVC pipe to extend the pipe to the level of the new floor. I screwed down the plywood to the sub base below the ceramic tile. When I was done, I installed some vinyl flooring over the plywood. I just did not want to get involved in ripping up the original flooring. It was totally solid afterwards. The toilet used to feel a little soft when I sat down on it. It also used to smell. After the fix, the smell went away. I did this in a state park campground while traveling.Re: Onan Marquis 5000 quits after a while?Remove the fuel line from the carb and put it in a gas can that is elevated above the carb. Try to run it. If it runs fine, it is the fuel pump. This can be confirmed by putting a cheap low pressure guage on it to confirm it is making 3-6psi.If it still shuts down, then check other things such as carb float and jets. Mine just gave me trouble. It was the metal rod in the mechanical speed control. The Metal had popped out of the plastic bracket. However, your problem really sounds like a fuel pump or carb float problem.Re: What did you do to your Class A MH today???Replaced the fresh waterpump. De-Winterized the coach. Found a leak in the fitting that attaches to the waterpump. Dremmeled the swage fitting off of the pex that comes off of the waterpump. Replaced 3 inch section of Pex with clear hose and hose clamps. Fired up the water heater once it was full, didn't do anything. I got out the circuit tester and identified a blown thermal protector. I TEMPORARILY replaced the protector with a jumper. Bingo the waterheater fired up. Winterized the coach. Added air to all 8 tires. Reattached the waterpump to the tank. Sprayed the belts with belt dressing. Incase you are wondering, I bought a repo 1997 HR 36WGS Endeavor a few weeks ago and I am slowly getting it ready for it maiden voyage. I have about 750 miles of testing on it already. Headed to Disney in 2 weeks.
