The part from Roadtrek is $414.00 which seems quite high. Have any of you found a more reasonably priced unit on the internet? Thanking you in advance for your valued assistance...................RobRe: MERCEDES SPRINTER RV not a conventional conversionVery Good (hen hao!) I have a Honda 6500 and it is an outstanding generator. Keep up the fantastic work. Zai Jian...............RobRe: New Here and Looking for a Class BAs you will be travelling alone most of the time, a 170 would work. As mentioned above, size if a personal preference. I absolutely love the 17 foot length of the 170, and as I travel alone for work, the smaller size is perfect. Parking the 170 is easy, and due to the fact that I removed all of the Roadtrek decals, it is quite stealthy as well. While I love the small size of the 170, my wife finds it very claustrophobic. Spend as much time in one either at a dealer or at a show. I asked if you would be using it in freezing conditions, because if you did, you would most likely be unable to shower as the Roadtrek's in the 2000 to 2004 range have external tanks. I purchased my gently used and mint condition 170 for less than the NADA value, but it took a year and I had to travel to pick it up. I would also check out the YouTube ad's for class B's as they will give you a good idea as to the size of each unit with a person inside for scale. Best of Luck and let us know what you discover.Re: New Here and Looking for a Class BHello Ken - To better answer your questions and give advice, it would help to know the following. 1) Will you be travelling alone? This answer will help with the 170 or 190 choice, and how many days between returning home to fill water tanks? 2) Will you be travelling into freezing conditions during the year? 3) Will you be dry camping or utilizing campgrounds with full hook-ups? 4) Do you need a generator for extended computer usage? 5) Are you willing/able to do some modifications? Please let us know....................RobRe: Step one. Bought the van.I can't believe you put a wet-vac on top of your new (and expensive!) pop-up. Looking at the contrails of the jets above, and how they are turning, I have a feeling you may be near the Beckley VOR.Re: Step one. Bought the van.Great to see you back in action!Re: Our Skoolie ConversionSounds like you just made a lifetime memory with your son. Congratulations! I noticed that your galley kitchen and refrigerator are on the port side behind the driver. Are they well secured in case of a sudden stop or impact?Re: Sofa to Dresser UpgradeGreat job and thank you for taking the time to post the pictures.Re: Step one. Bought the van.Why can't you move next to me so I will have a Master Mechanic & Technician as a neighbor. As usual, you never cease to amaze.............Rob
