With mine I can pull the filter off and take a flashlight and look inside at the fins. They can get a lot of dust and gunk build-up in the fins which will really restrict the airlow and in turn the efficiency of the AC. If they have a lot of build up on them then it becomes a different job. You can probably do a search on "cleaning AC unit" and have some success.Re: 2011 Montana BB_TX wrote: You might ask your question on the Montana Owners Club forum. There are many owners there who are very happy with their Montanas. And some who have had problems. Like any brand. Maybe someone there compared the two. Good thought, thank you2011 MontanaHi I'm looking at a 2011 Grand Junction 340RL as well as a 2011 Montana 3400RL Hickory edition. I would like your opinions on each. Hoping maybe someone has compared the two in the past and if so made a decision and what the reasons were for that decision. The pricing on them is pretty similar and I don't know a lot about Grand Junction. Thank you in advance for what is always knowledgeable help God Bless Jon2011 Grand JunctionHi I'm looking at a 2011 Grand Junction 340RL as well as a 2011 Montana 3400RL Hickory edition. If I follow your math you have about 3300 pounds of available payload in your tow vehicle (10,600-7300). The pin weight for 14,500 pounds of fifth will be at least 2800 pounds plus the hitch that can be another 175 pounds. You likely will be at your vehicles gvwr, perhaps slightly over, after you include people, tools, dogs, and everything else you will also be carrying in the tow vehicle. The 7300 included myself, the dog, full tank of gas and the slider hitch and some tools so it looks/ appears that I should be good. Thanksalmost ready but.....Well after a lot of research on different models and looking at quite a few in person I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger but I really need your assistance and opinions. In the process of looking my head is swimming with numbers so I want your opinions to help with the clutter. TV GVW = 7300 TV GVWR = 10600 TV GCWR = 23000 TV RGAWR =6993 TV max towing = 16400 TV load range "E" tires rated at 3445 lbs FW GVW = 14500 FW pin weight from manufacturer = 2305 - I realize that isn't the true weight after it's loaded and up to the 14500. I have been able to take my truck to a local scale to get the GVW but they don't have the capacity to separate the front from the rear so I don't know those exactly. So, thoughts in general on this but also looking for what you believe to be the most limiting factor in this equation. Thanks for your wisdom God Bless JonGulf StreamI'm thinking about looking at a 2008 Gulf Stream Prairie Schooner 34 FBR but don't seem to be able to find much information on them other than a couple for sale at RV dealers and I don't trust their information ( it's different at the two I found). Can anyone give me any insight into this model and where to find the specs. I'm really curious how well they are built. Thank you in advance God Bless JonGVWR, does it really matterI may be missing something but I'm not 100% sure what the big deal is with the GVWR on a trailer. I understand it's concept but if I have a trailer with a dry weight of 10000 lbs and a GVWR of 15000 lbs but I only put in 500 lbs of "stuff" I'm only at 10500 lbs. I know that I have to stay under it. I know that if I reach that max then I really have to make sure that my GCWR is within limits and I also know that the more the GVW of the 5'er the more weight I have on my rear axle of the TV but if I'm way below the GVWR why do I need to be concerned with that number. what am I missing ? thanks in advance JonRe: new to 5th wheel world MC9 wrote: I pull with a 2008 v-10 and love it. The secret is the 4:30 rear end. You didn't list the best 5th wheel -Cedar Creek-..... I did a double check and it actually has that. I have added a statement to my original post, that should help thanks
