I sold it last month and bought a 2017 f250 6.2 gas truck. Out 5th wheel loaded weighs 10,000 . The 6.2 does a fine job pulling and to be honest I didn’t want to drop another $9000.00 on diesel. Our new truck is a gas hog, however here in California Diesel is $.50 a gallon more than gas, so it almost works out the same. Our old Diesel only had 79,000 miles when I sold it. It started to overheat on steep grades and I got tired of cleaning egr valves. It would have cost $6000.00 to 8,000 to bullet proof it.Re: Well, today it happened!! ~Updated~Sorry to hear about your troubles. I just sold our 2006 f350 diesel, no more diesel for me, just bought a 2017 f250 gas 6.2. Here in California diesel is about 50 cents higher than gas. No more $120.00 oil changes and cleaning or replacing “EGR” valves or changing fuel filters.Re: Starting the new truck hunt troubledwaters wrote: I hardly consider how an employee treats a company vehicle a fair comparison to how someone would treat their own. I know several people that drive aluminum box F150's. Not one of them has dents or a hole in their's, or even scratchd paint. I see it everyday on construction sites. People abusing the trucks that the company owns compared to how they treat their own truck. I've seen 2500 series and 3500 series Chevy, Ford and Ram's beat to shiiit in 3 months. That's the difference between someone that bought and paid for their $50,000.00 truck and someone that drives a truck they didn't have to pay for. Show me someone's personal vehicle that has holes in it and then we'll talk. Or how about any of you Chevy or Ram owners that would let me dump a load of blocks into your $50,000.00 truck with a loader raise your hand. Most people including myself have bed liners in my 2017 f250Need a new truckWant to know if a 2017 Ford 250, or dodge 250 gas would pull a 2010 Jayco Eagle Super Lite Fifth Wheel Series M-31.5 RLDS. Its about 11,000 lbs on scale. I hate to spend the extra $ 8,000 for a diesel.Re: 10 Worst States for Retirement!I love you, California, you're the greatest state of all. I'm sure the Honda is better, but not that much. I also have a 2010 Nissan Altima and I think that a Mercedes is better, but not that much..So far no problems with any of them .Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadMy 2000i does not burp at all, bought it at Costco in March 2012....Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadCostco, Bakersfield Ca.
