Everything above is good advice. Especially the Summersville speed trap. I assume you are going to continue down the WV Turnpike towards Virginia on to Knoxville. You might want to check Campcreek State Park, just south of Beckley and I don't think it is too far off the Turnpike. http://www.campcreekstatepark.com/ Summersville is beautiful and you might get lucky and get a site at Summersville Retreat. Something my husband and I have gotten into a habit of is freezing the bottled water we are going to take anyway. The solid mass of ice keeps everything around it cold and doesn't make a water mess when it melts. I agree...both is the way to go. We have our first "family" trip planned for June. Not all of them...but 5 of the 9 (on my side of the family...my husband's crew is next to pile on) Retirement is on the horizon and I will add the TC back in the mix. Crazy Creek...that is a sweet little trailer. I may have to talk my sons into getting something like that. I have to break them into the camping thing SLOWLY...by me doing all the buying and towing. I sold my beloved TC a couple months ago and purchased a TT so I would have more room for the grandkids, etc. Hardly a week goes by that my husband and I don't comment that we miss it and will get another. We still play "spot the truck camper". I had the strangest dream last night. I dreamed (is that the correct word???) that I went to visit my father,(who has been dead for about 9 years)and he had an old classic Avion TC in his driveway. My sisters were trying to convince him that he was too old to travel in it, but I was on his side and told him to go for it. His last travel trailer was an Airstream so I assume that is why I had Avion on my brain. Any dream readers out there? This mean Dad is telling me to get another TC ASAP???? We recently bought an Arlo system at Sam's (Amazon also has packages) for $369. Totally wireless and includes 3 cameras. Very user friendly. You can arm and disarm with the app and it sends alerts when motion detected. You can set the length of time you want it to record video and will save it to the cloud for a week (I believe - my husband is the tech guy) but you can download to another source if you need to keep it for longer (like to give to police) We are very happy with it so far.204Views0likes0Comments
