I wouldn't know where to begin to look for the box-top end. I suppose I've gotten my money's worth out of them.Re: Camper or 5th wheel ?Well... I have a TC because it's been conducive to my need for constant business travel. But, the older I get, the longer I desire to sit for a spell with water/electric hookups. The longer I sit in one place, the more conscious I am of the lack of space in a TC. I spect I'll transition to a trailer or 5er at retirement in 9 months. Then I'll spend at least 2 weeks at each government venue and up to a couple of months in private parks. While I like the mobile lifestyle, there will be no need to hurry. If momma prefers the AF, that's the way I'd go.Re: dually 2 wheel drive in snow with TC onBusiness travel has taken me to NY, PA, OH, and WV, sometimes during the winter. While they keep the Interstates pretty well plowed, I have spent a few nights in rest areas, Cracker Barrel, or Wallyworld due to white-outs or ice. I carry a Lance 1121 on a 2WD dually and there is a big difference in traction with the camper on-board. Still, there's too much "pucker factor" in snow driving for this Florida boy. I've decided there is more business than I can say grace over in the S.E. during the winter time.Re: boondocking opportunitiesBoondocking around Daytona Bch. is about the same as it is in Raleigh. Two SPs relatively close are Tomoka SP, north of Ormond Bch and further north in Flagler Bch. at Gamble Rogers.Re: Finally seeing some nights predicted down in the 60's . . .It was nice shutting off the a/c, opening the windows and turning on the fantastic fan last night. Now, if the humidity would just go down a little more...:)Re: Truck camper for Toyota TundraJust between me, you and a fence post... unless you have a specific reason to downsize, I'd keep towing that 25' TT with the Tundra. An 11 1/2' TC w/slide and dry bath on a F-350 dually can get pretty small with time. Easy to maneuver and park in most places, but still on the small side for livability and comfort. You live out of a TC, not in it.Re: Heading south for the first timeI've enjoyed McIntosh Lake RV Park in Townsend, Ga. Nice, reasonably priced, park about a mile and 1/2 off I-95. Easy drive to Savannah and Brunswick. In N. Florida, I like Half Shell Resort just south of Palatka on the St. Johns River. A quiet adult (55 & up) park, it's reminiscent of "Old Florida and within an easy drive to St. Augustine and Ocala National Forest. Heading west to the panhandle, work your way west of Gainesville and take US Hwy 27 to Perry, Fl., then Hwy 98 over to "Florida's Forgotten Coast". Stop off in Sopchoppy, FL at the city park, Myron B. Hodge on the Sopchoppy River. They have about 16 FHU sites in there and you're close to one of the largest natural springs in the world... Edward Ball Wakulla Springs SP. More vestiges of "Old Florida". Traffic is light and the pace is slow. A small working water front supplies the restaurants and locals with fresh seafood year round. Roadside stands have fresh veggies and fruits in season. Pick up some Tupelo honey... it's the only honey that doesn't granulate. You can take 98 along the coast towards Pensacola.Re: campgrounds around St Augustine, FlA side note... be sure to stop at O'Steens in the 200 Blk of Anastasia Blvd. for fried shrimp. Great food... reasonable price. It's been a landmark for locals over the past 60 years. Often, there's quite a wait to get seating inside. A "to-go" order takes about 10 minutes and Anastasia SP is close by.Re: So you want to open a truck manufacturing business? No matter how you cut it, when you work for the other fella, he buys you at wholesale and sells you at retail and he keeps the spread.Re: Boneless Pork Loin30-40-50+ years ago, I could have handled the sodium. Unfortunately, it caught up to me.:E
