It is a 2002 and I had serviced it before our trip. When I got back I took it to my RV mechanic and he found bad/ rotted fuel lines, changed them and it now runs fine. With the age of your coach this could be the problem. When I had serviced the generator I didn't check the lines and I wouldn't have been able too see them up in the service area. Good luck.Re: Firan Europremieryes this is a great site, but if my math is correct that is a 30 year old motorhome which makes this an even greater site. would love to see pictures of the motorhome and thanks for the post. My motorhome is a 2002 and is 21 years old that is what made me notice the age. It just seems like yesterday that we bought it.Re: NYALIC as Clear coat replacement on roof????I went to order one spray can for $24.50 but canceled the order when it looked like my shipping cost was $31.00 plus. I will be watching this site for results. I also pulled up Amazon but they did not seem to carry NYALIC. Thanks for the information.Re: generator fuel lineWe have a 2001 Phaeton with the 7500 Onan diesel and I had serviced the generator and it had run fine before we had left on vacation. We left about 2weeks later and when I went to use it If didn't want to start or would not run very long, I thought that I had installed the fuel filter wrong and had air in the lines. When we returned home I took it to our motorhome mechanic and he found the fuel lines were bad and changed them. It runs perfect now. I bought the motorhome new and I guess after 20 plus years they deteriorate.Re: Low coolant QuestionMy motorhome is a 2001 with the c9 Cat, about 2years ago I had to replace my overflow tank because it started leaking. The tanks are made of a plastic so they do go bad. If you are low on coolant it is probably the tank. Check-it. When coolant goes low there is almost always a leak.Re: A spare wheel might be harder to source than you think! My chassis is a2002 Freightliner, I had 22" steel wheels that I have replaced with Alcoa aluminum wheels so I have four steel wheels that i need to get rid of. I have kept one for my spare tire, I gave one to a friend and that leaves me with four left. If anyone needs a spare wheel you can contact me through this site. I live in the Placerville area i California.Re: Slide-out awningYes. thank-you Stark Naked for your help. I think I have a Dometic but I will have to check. Thanks again.Slide-out awningI keep my motorhome in a covered facility and the last time I parked it in there I bumped the slide out awning on a support post and knocked off a piece of the awning on the left side. The broken piece is ring approx. a 1/2" wide with a foot protruding from the ring with a rubber end on the foot. It looks like it fastens next to the roll out mechanism. What does this piece do, do I need it, and where can I get a replacement part for it?Re: Air dryer purge every 40 secondsI have a question about air dryers? I am not trying to high-jack the original post so please excuse me. I always thought the the air dryer was a piece of equipment that could be removed and rebuilt. Approx. 1 1/2 year ago I had my air dryer serviced and the air dryer was a large canister very similar to an oil filter only larger in diameter. The mechanic bled all the air from the system and unscrewed the old one and installed the new unit. I have the old unit in the garage. The price of the new air dryer was approx. $240.00. I would think that next time I could change it myself. The mechanic said the key is to purge the air system well.Re: Diesel fuel prices … how is that affecting your RV travel ?We have a trip planned Pt. Reyes later this month and that will probably be be my longest trip in the motorhome. We live in El Dorado county in Calif. and there are many beautiful areas we can take the motorhome that will be less than 100 miles and that will keep us using the motorhome. But I have a new plan I have just bought an electric bike and if I made a trailer for it I could load my wife and camping gear and head out. All I would have to do is convince my wife?
