With the 20 foot main awning, I have almost the whole side of the camper dry if it rains.Re: Fifthwheel batteriesI gotta say 2 6 volt golf cart batteries, too. Even the cheap ones from Sam's Club will get you 220 amp hours. The last set I had lasted 9 years before we noticed a fall off in performance. Very few 12 volt batteries are really deep cycle no matter what they may say on the case.Re: Is there a midbunk with an outside kitchen? asmith3 wrote: The Jayco does not have a washer/dryer prep.....it is so hard to find everything you want in one rig. I have the Jayco 355MBQS. It does have the Washer/Dryer prep....Re: Reese Revolution HitchAnother benefit not mentioned is you can use all the truck bed up to the rails. No need to leave the back empty for pin box swing. I love mine. We tow a 40' 5er at 13,500lbs. No noticeable sway. Stable as any other 5th I have ever pulled. Much better than our old 35' TT.Heading to Topsail Hill State Park, FL ThursdayFor 10 days!!! Can't wait. We have been once before and love it. We know most of the things we want to do, but would love suggestions or places in the area (Destin - PCB) to eat. We have a 9 and 6 year old who will be with us. Last trip I had a couple of China Bomb tire issues, and some/most of our eating out fund went to buying new tires. Thanks so much!Re: Using golf carts around RV parks pitch wrote: The problem is the many many many irresponsible people that turn them over to their young teens to operate. Nothing at all wrong with a sober responsible adult using them in a safe and acceptable manner. This. My daughter was almost hit by a teen on a golf cart at one of the Big 3 campgrounds in Myrtle Beach. So many kids driving fast on the carts. Not obeying the rules of the road. Had one cut through our site just after I had stepped inside one night. Saw a rental cart knock a stop sign down about midnight one evening. All 4 teens in the cart baled and just left the cart sit...Security seems to turn a blind eye. Have been to other campgrounds that allow them, but are very strict. 16 or older, must have a license, etc. One strike and you are out/no cart for the rest of your stay type rules, and did not mind the carts there.Re: Recommendation for Tow Vehicle Bed CoverBakFlip VP. Can be folded near the cab to allow 5th towing. Can be folded up against the window to access the whole bed. Solid aluminum under the vinyl, so you can have a secure cargo area with locking tailgate. BakFlip VPRe: 5ers 35' or less with bunk room and full-size kitchen?Jayco 355MBQS has most of what you are looking for, but 38'...Re: Opinions on Jayco 325BHQS ?Our Jayco 355MBQS came off the line 04/21. We will pick it up soon. Chose that floor plan to have a bunk room, but still have a large rear living area as the kids don't spend as much time in the bunk room as we thought they would. Dual Air is a must if you camp where it is hot. We also got the double pane windows as we camp in cool/cold weather to help with the condensation. The standard Towmax tire is know to have issues. for the small amount of $$$, the MAXXIS upgrade was definitely worth it. We did the free standing table as 12' refrigerator. Chairs from the table can be moved for extra seating when we have more than the 4 of us along. We did the 12' refer as we sometimes spend several days away from many stores, and being able to take more food is a plus. We added the extra awning on our front slideout to put the picnic table under and still have room under the main awning. No need to carry the easyup any more. Bikes go under the pin. Can't wait to get it!!!Re: Need shocks for 2002 2500HD Duramax nofoolin wrote: You may want to update to the rear hydraulic cab mounts which became standard equipment somewhere around 2007, or 2008. I put them on my 2003 and saw a definite improvement in ride, especially over expansion joints... I already had put the Bilsteins in a couple of years previous. They were a nice upgrade also. Did them on my 2003. Took all the giggle you would get on expansion joints out of the truck. Would almost shake like an out of balance tire on a certain section of interstate near the house. I have the KYB shocks on the truck as I got all 4 at a super deal. They are much better than the stock ones.
