Years later, a new ram we now keep it away from dogs with hood propped open 12"all day and low watt bulb underneath engine at night. That was after $2000 wiring damage, luckily ins. helped. Also sprayed "bitter apple" on all connections. This is used as deterrant for puppy chewing and it'll stay on surfaces for weeks. No problems since, been 6 months.Re: How do I repair delamination filon? Arctic Fox 990 northshore wrote: Wow if you can get AF to do that much repair for $2k + that would be the way to go, I know when I checked with our local RV place about 6 mos. ago. That guy wanted $2k just to get started, he told me about ta dozen times that this is an expensive undertaking... so if AF will do repairs, thats the way I would go. I originally had an estimate of 2 up to 6k if they had to do the whole front, "San Diego" estimate. A call to the factory still would be worth it. I toured the factory the next day and was impressed then saw mine when it was apart, what a mess. Good luck!Re: How do I repair delamination filon? Arctic Fox 990Similar story with our 2006 AF 990. After purchase, on the return trip from Texas to Ca. The wind buffeting the front brought out all delamination bubbles on the nose and over cab sagging, looked like yours. After head shaking estimates I called AF in Oregon, made an appt and had the whole nose, top to bottom from top seam to bottom of sliding window and underneath bed replaced. Wood, filon and everything for 2k, granted it was about 5 or 6 years ago but they treated us great and threw in some extras. We made a vacation out of it. Took them 2 days and looks brand new. A friend had the sagging delamination over the cab, under the bedroom, he drilled a few holes injected glue pressed up with wood and it turned out fine. Hope this helps 1joggerRe: Delaminated Arctic Fox 811Similar story with our 2006 AF 990. After purchase, on the return trip from Texas to Ca. Found this thule box on craigslist,it fit our width requirements 30-32"and is about 70 or 80" long. Made a rack to keep it as low as possible and would've used the "maggie racks"but mine were cheaper. This opens from either side, I access it easily from the roof. It holds our aluminum table and chairs and all the extras,I lower chairs etc. with rope and hook to DW. Mounting consisted of 4 screws and sealant on each plate, the edge screws went into a structural beam, went 2000 miles and sealed it again. 12 feet to the top. We're really happy with this setup. Good luck! Re: Saw this on the web....How about the other guy with the flatbed, he looks jealous!Re: the one feature of my TC that I really hateThe goofy turn cranks and small window openings on our AF990. I"m considering a large escape/vent hatch 26" in place of fantastic fan for better ventilation. Our old Lance had one and I miss seeing the stars!
