I am quite pleased with them as they are fairly light and yet sturdy. They are easy to set up and take down and folds up compact enough not to take too much room in the basement storage. Adds a much needed level of safety with the hand rail with solid and consistent height steps for my DW to get in and out of the FW, as she has some mobility challenges. The only issue I had was the steps kept sliding forward on the top step every time you stepped on them. I fixed it by adding a short piece of aluminum angle so to bracket the top step front and back. Overall, very happy with them, but I think the price is a bit too high, but what RV product isn't these days.Re: Your Rig larry barnhart wrote: alan41779 Do you have enough space between the bed rails and the nice fifth? best looking truck money can buy chevman In that picture, it is about +/- 5 1/2" after getting it from the dealer. They thought it was OK, but commented that my hitch (Curt Q24) may be too low (its on the middle holes). After measuring the level of the trailer, it is as the nose is 2-3" lower than the center. I intend to move to the top holes on the hitch before the next trip and which should give me 7-8" bed rail clearance and put the Bighorn level to just slightly nose low. It's definitely a nice truck, tows that Bighorn very easily, even in a very stiff headwind or crosswind.Re: Your RigOur new rigs: 2015 Chevy 3500HD High Country Duramax 2015 Bighorn 3585RL First camp trip March 2015 Re: How big of a truck for safe and comfortable towing? My research on 2015 Chevy Duramax 3500 4x4 weight ratings for a possible future purchase is this - * Crew Cab Long Box DRW Max payload 5,010 GVWR 13,025 RGAWR 9,375 5thwheel rating 22,800 GCWR 30,500 * Crew Cab Std Box SRW Max Payload 4,020 GVWR 11,500 RGAWR 7,050 5thwheel rating 17,100 GCWR 24,500 Of course it will vary based on other body styles.Re: 2014 Wind River 250RDSW in the driveway!!!We have our 2011 WindRiver for 3 years now. Very few issues with it and have been very happy with it. I know that the 2010 year was bad for most of their models as that was the first year that OutdoorRV began manufacturing in the old Fleetwood plant in OR. 2011 year was much better based on feedback from my friends that bought a 2010 and those that got a 2011. Enjoy you new rig!Re: New to RV and buy my first RVSimilar combination as mine (see signature) and I do OK around the mountain west. Your TV has the 6 speed and that makes the difference in towing capacity over my 4 spd. I am near the weight limits for my TV GVW with just two adults and a loaded TT weighing in at 7000lb, but with 6000+ miles over the past couple of years, I have had no issues with this set up. Should work for you.Re: Wind River by Outdoors RV TTWe have a 2011 Wind River 230rks and have had it since new in 2010. We have put over 6,000 miles and 50+ nights in traveling all over the northwest and we have been quite pleased with it. Like all TT, doesn't mean there aren't items to be repaired/replaced from time to time, but we have had no serious issues with it. Only had one minor warranty issue and that was some rusting hub caps on the wheels which the dealer replaced with a newer style that was being shipped on the 2012 units. Ours has the double pane window option and with the 4 season package, it is quiet, AC is able to keep it cool in the summer and it doesn't take much heat to keep it warm in the winter.
