I'm also tempted.Re: Thor Super C (Chateau/Four Winds) improvements and modsYes, I put a propane RV refrigerator in my RV. Love it, I can dry camp for days without running the generator.Re: Thor Super C (Chateau/Four Winds) improvements and modsI have a perfectly working Whirlpool refrigerator that I took out of mine if you are interested, sitting in my garage in Reno Nevada if you are interested. I think they took it out of the rear window when they removed it.Re: Pros & Cons of a Diesel Super CIn my old gas motorhome I was in the slow lane with that V10 screaming going over the Sierra's. In the diesel Super C, I'm in the passing lane. You will never make up the fuel cost vs the extra cost of the diesel. Gas was 6 mpg, diesel is 9 mpg going with the flow of traffic or 11-12 mpg going at V10 speed. The driving experience is much better with the diesel especially if you tow.Re: Thor Super C (Chateau/Four Winds) improvements and modsMy favorite modification to my 2014 33SW was to remove that power sucking residential refrigerator and put in a propane RV refrigerator. Now I can dry camp for extended periods without fighting keeping the batteries charged. All I do is dry camp, so this worked out great for me.Drycamping + house refigeratorI just purchased a 2014 Thor Four Winds 33SW. When I was going over what to buy I was concerned with layout and towing capacity. Very happy with the layout and the Super C Diesel 10,000 pounds of towing capacity. During the walk through I asked how to start the refrigerator and was told you don't it is a "house refrigerator" that runs off 120 or the inverter...no propane. I had no clue they put those in RV's, I guess people who go to RV parks like them. I don't like RV parks. I called Thor and was told to "plug it in or start the generator". Does anyone have any solutions to dry camping for 3-4 days and using a house refrigerator? I don't want to run the generator for an extended period of time and don't have the option of plugging it in. I upgraded the 12V batteries to two 6 volts which helped, but still isn't near enough.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.Seems like a lot of people have purchased these generators.....we are well into summer, who has the most hours on their generator? How are they running?
