Lynnmor wrote: How to weight tongue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMoLA44lcgU Thats a great video! Thanks. We need to get this in a sticky.too massive?!?Yo! Too heavy duty. That is the question. You see I needed w Weight Distribution hitch. I have 2 sets of bars but nothing to Connect them to. Soooo I went to Amazon. Looking at all the pretty Hitches. Big ones small ones. Light duty to heavy duty. I put my tounge jack on a bathroom scale. Needle went around 4 or 5 times. Kidding about the scale part. But I have no way of knowing what My tounge weight is My bigger set of bars are probably around 750 lbs. But i found a hitch on Amazon for $179.00 free shipping! I bought the biggest heaviest Beast of a hitch I've ever seen. Rated for 1.200 lbs toung weight. I'll probably never pull a trailer that weighs 16,000 pounds! My question is how to set up a hitch like this? It has tilt and all. Is there any difference between this hitch and a 750lb hitch?Re: Traveling and Workamping in Calif.... DMV info...This is true. Brand new cars and trucks just off the truck have a hard time Passing CA. smog laws.Re: Weighing rvI use Oregon scales too. When closed you are free to pull up and get an idea.Re: Anatomy of a WindowRemove the whole window. In the top picture i can see a split in the frame. There should be another split on the other end. This would be held together by a plate and a couple screws. The area im looking at is dead center on the top picture. Where it shows the up and down of the end of the window.Re: Broken axlesI think laws need to be changed to prevent this kind of thing from happening in the first place. If you add 30+ gallons of fresh water, 40# propane, 10 gallons of black water, You have over loaded the trailer considerably. That does not include food clothes towels clean clothes people pet food or pets.Re: 2nd Trip and Major Issuesthis is why I hate new trailers. I used to work at a trailer sales lot and did the check ins when they arrived from the factory. I cannot begin to tell of the horrors Iv'e seen come to the lot. Roof peeling, slides that almost fall out, T.Vs smashed by the slide, Walls full of water. The trailers built nowadays are very pretty to look at. But getting all the bugs out can take some time. They build between 5 and 9 units a day of the same model. Really NOT trying to insult people who own new R.V.s I say congratulations on your purchase. May it serve you for many enjoyable years.Re: can I seperate the 12 volt from the 110 system?I think that will be my next step. Then I need to dig into the propane side and see what works there.
