I don't need the amenities either, but I sure need a clean, secure place to park.Re: Workhorse to Re-enter Class A Chassis MarketTakata made the shrapnel-loaded air bags, but the car manufacturers are responsible for the recall. Anyone who drove an early Workhorse chassis knew that the brakes felt spongy and weird and stopping distances were increased. Several years passed before Workhorse initiated the recall.Re: Workhorse to Re-enter Class A Chassis MarketI'm not sure why there is so much excitement about this. Workhorse has never been a "strength" in the RV business. First the hidden brake problems that affected almost everything they built and probably caused accidents. Then they backed out of the business when things got bad, leaving parts availability an issue. I'm not necessarily a Ford guy, but at least we have been able to count on them for over 30 years.Re: Heater won't work - am I missing something? HELPGuys, let's get along!!! If you are offended by people who are still in the learning stage, then just keep it to yourself. Give this guy a break.Re: Tornado safetyAccording to NOAA, the average annual deaths from tornados each year is 80, not 50. Now, multiply that by being in tornado alley and multiply it some more by being in an RV, and the actual odds for being injured or worse are much higher. Do not ignore the warnings, know where you are and where you can go. Keep your wits together at all times. There is nothing funny about a tornado --- just ask folks in Joplin, Conway, Vilonia and Tuscaloosa. Unfortunately there are many of them who you can't ask.Re: Washington State 210 day law, does it exist?I think the genesis of this rumor might be the camping clubs like Port Susan in Marysville. They limit how long you can live there, so folks buy another site and put something on it.Re: Tornado safetyIf you have an IPhone, you can ask Siri what county you are in. Any smart phone has plenty of options for tornado safety. I prefer the Weather Channel app's tornado alert feature. Their lightning alert will tell you that lightning struck .2 miles from you (or whatever distance). Counties are usually named when there is a tornado watch, but tornado warnings are much more specific. Modern technology has made it much safer for us in Tornado Alley.Re: What are the best tricks to get your tourist dollar"Pretty good".Re: What is the best 1 item you ever bought for your camper?Maxx-Air covers.
