I have been working 6 days a week around 70 hours per week. this was one of the few week ends I had off. so,I watched a lot of Foster Brooks at roast's on YouTube. did laundry, ate well, took 3 naps ( Lol). and now I am here with a nice glass of Pisano after a lovely steak dinner , and it's back to 'Hell' on Monday. could have been worse. oh yeah, due to the rain we didn't run out of beer or have to sharpen mower blades;'Re: RV Salvage YardsThanks for the info! I found a place ( about an hour from me) on your list.Re: Pack Ratsfor a moment I thought you were talking about people like me!Re: They said it would happen...?2.03 on Saturday at the marathon on 301 Blvd. and 63rd street in Bradenton Fl. for being recently considered the 3rd most populated state in the union, I cannot understand why we are not $1.60 or so. "I for one, would rather take the money and run".Re: Any one under 55 own a class A?Bought my first and so far only RV @ 49 years old. I am now 54...does this mean I am not old yet? YIPPIE...7 more months to go!Re: New to site.Welcome to RV.net! I don't post very often, usually it is when something goes "bang",( and I have had a lot of that lately, and I don't bug "The Timers" because I don't have the $. they have given plenty of ammo for when I get the $ to fix the bangs) First off, I bought my MH in 09. its a 1995. the motors great. I am single and 54 and have been employed 2 yrs. and three months after being laid off work for 3 yrs. I am a full-timer. I am just starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and I am hoping nothing else breaks down. remember, I am single! and that's with a 1995er. I wish I would have bought newer. I am lucky I live on a friends horse farm. I do not have any bills except I contribute labor and help them with groceries and If something goes "bang" and I can afford it I pay for it. still ,that being said, It comes out to be more or less "rent". if I had to park in a trailer park or a RV park, I don't know how long it would be before something would happen and wipe me out. I am not trying to dissuade you from buying a MH. You have been given excellent advise for the previous repliers ( and I do agree with gaurdrail53 ) and I can tell you really want one. all of us here just want you to be careful. besides a catastrophic failure on the interstate in a city during rush hour, do you really want to be stuck in an RV with a bored and irritable teenager for a 1,000 miles? best to you!Re: stuff needing repairHorses, boats, homes, pools, I also play the drums: one hour per drum to tune. it's always something! sorry, gotta go fix a toilet at a friend's house!Re: Vinegar or Baking sodaI have read on this site that using bleach for cleaning RV toilets, sinks, pipes and holding tanks will cause you to have problems down the road. seal and gasket failure, cracked holding tanks and so forth. I believe in my manual it specifically warns NOT to use bleach. I don't have a scientific explanation of why. but I know bleach and certain plastics are a no no, It breaks them down. Good Luck and Happy travels!
