Did this twice crossing the country. I do pay attention to the weather. I will take a day or two longer if necessary to avoid really bad weather. I went north and then east and then south to avoid high winds, tornadoes, and very heavy rain once. We owned a class c, fifth wheel, and now a class a. My wife finds that the class a seat is much more comfortable as well as the ride. This is a diesel pusher. That being said, you really need to go and look, sit, and then drive to see what is the most comfortable for her. You can, if you have time, put a quart of home septic tank treatment in the tank with a quarter fill of water. Let it sit for two weeks and drive. You could add the ice and then drive, but all that enzyme treatment should have eaten it all up. Did this to a fully clogged tank and it was so clean the OEM tank level system worked for the next five trips like it did when new.293Views0likes0CommentsRe: 50A Power Cord Reel
Had a power reel in my fifth wheel. No room in the class A. Wish we had one. You have to make sure that the connections in the center of the reel are tight. If not, they can heat and char, or you can get an imbalance voltage with a loose neutral. Don't as me why I know. Other than that they are great. I could operate it by myself. I would call Heartland with the last six digits of your vin number to find out what calking the factory uses. If it has silicone in it, Nothing will stick until all has been removed. Les Swab had the exclusive North West Dealer agreement with Toyo. Apparently it ran out and was not renewed with Les Swab.
