Back to the computer now to research all of the tips you given me. You are so kind to take time to respond to my query! Merry Christmas.Louisiana in JanuaryWe are planning a January trip to Louisiana. I know - it's a big state but would love to have some ideas on places to visit, etc. I've been doing some research and would like to visit some of the plantations. Will also probably end up in New Orleans before heading back to NC. Planning on being gone about 3 weeks but that's flexible. Suggestions?Re: Help with Planning Finger Lakes TripThanks so much for the offer though. We're looking at the Clute RV Park as a central point and then roaming each day from there. Not exactly sure how many days we'll need though so I'm still researching! There's just so much to see and as I doubt we'll be back anytime soon I want to see as much as possible.Re: Help with Planning Finger Lakes TripOh my word! That is beautiful. While we would love to stay there I'd bet it would not be FHU and for several days we would need that.Help with Planning Finger Lakes TripNeed some help with a Finger Lakes trip. At this point we’re planning to spend a couple of days at Letchworth State Park and then go to Watkins Glen and use that as a central location as we visit Odessa, Corning, Hammondsport, Interlaken and Ithaca. Is that doable or should we add a third park? We’re totally unfamiliar with the area and although I am doing A LOT of research I know there’s nothing like first-hand information and advice. Thanks for any and all help!Re: Camping in the Finger Lakes area in SeptemberThanks wborst. Are you familiar with Bab**** Hollow Family Campground in Bath? It's a Passport with good reviews on RV Park Reviews.Re: Camping in the Finger Lakes area in SeptemberOh my, so much to see and so little time! Thanks so much for your suggestions. I'll be making reservations later this week. Apparently this isn't the time of year to try my flexibility! Hoping to stay in Watkins Glen, Bryon and Springwater and then heading home for a wedding.Camping in the Finger Lakes area in SeptemberWe are tentatively planning a trip to the Finger Lakes in mid-September. Although we’ve always made reservations before leaving on a trip, I am considering not doing that this time and being a bit more flexible in our traveling. We’re considering Watkins Glen, Hammondsport, Corning, Letchworth State Park areas, etc. As a side note, we’re FHU folks at this point – maybe venturing out with no septic for a day or two – baby steps! Suggestions for campgrounds?
