My trailer is heavier 3500# dry and the truck handles it quite well. I definitely know when I am on a grade of any kind, but cruise down the hwy great. I think you will be good.Re: LED Light quick questionI just ordered 912 (with a T10 base). From what I read they are the same as the 921. Just rec'd them today, so I haven't had a chance to see if they fit, but they look right.Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadUnfortunately, I don't have much information to report back...and no hard evidence. I only needed to use the generator (73552i) twice during my last trip. Only used to charge the batteries...didn't try the micro. I have heard Honda's in campgrounds before and was pleasantly surprised at the noise level of my new gen. All I can say is my wife thought it hardily audible. :)Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadUpdate: Well I went out last week and purchased the Canadian version (73552I) 2000W CPE generator from Costco. Being busy I didn't get to start it up until yesterday. Added oil. Added fuel. Started first pull....and purred like a kitten. However, after trying multiple connections noticed that it was not producing AC. Called customer service and got someone right away, they figured the AVR? needed adjusting but only recommended a qualified person do it. They asked for my address and gave me a address/tel number for the closest repair depot (which was in the same town). I decided to take it back to Costco and received a replacement one without any hassle. Started this one today, same procedure....and it works! Still haven't had any real world trials with it, but we are heading out on Sunday for a week.Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadFor charging I do have an external battery charger, but thought I could just plug the RV cable into the genny. I am disappointed that the CPE doesn't have a RV style outlet, but I only plug into the 15A outlet at home, so I could do that on the genny too....Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadWOW...I was caught up with the advertised 53dBA. I will just be using this to charge the batteries (two g27 12v) every couple of days. Wonder what % load and therefore dBA that will be producing. Any ideas? Length of time genny would need to run?Re: The Official unofficial CPE 2000i Generator ThreadOur local Costco has a flat full of the CPE2000's. I am hopefully going to run out tomorrow and get one. I do not have any experience with generators, but would like one for camping. At $499, that is a bargain here in Canada for what COULD be a great generator. Honda is selling the 1000W at $100 off right now...but that is still $899. Even if the CPE lasts half as long, I can get two for the same price. Hope they have some left. Will let you know how it works later on in the month and try to update as the years go by.....
