I think this is a very bad website now. Re: I70 to I 90 on hwy 13 out of UtahI will let you know that there is construction to the east of Idaho Springs at Floyd hill they may close the highway for up to 30 mins for blasting so be aware of that, but other than the normal mountain driving no big dealRe: Are you supposed to tow 4 down with the steering unlockedI am going to say the steering wheel should always be unlocked when towedRe: Roadside AssistanceI have had Good Sam for years and after 2 fails I am switching to FMCA. The last one they kept telling me that the unlimited mileage on my Platinum plan was only 30 miles then changed that to 20. The first time I waited 4 1/2 hours for a tow on C470 in the Denver area.Re: Colorado experts...help pleaseThis is just my opinion. I would not go over Trail Ridge (US34) towing anything there are some very tight hairpin curves.Re: New Solar Install jodeb720 wrote: Guys, a good friend of mine reached out to the folks at camping world. They gave him a quote for 510watts of panels, some GC batteries (AGM) and controllers etc. We all agree before you start down the path of any solar install, you need to know what your usage is on a daily basis and size the entire package from there. What I'm looking for is recommendations as to who you would purchase the panels from - and is competitive in pricing and is a quality product. We live in Colorado - so if there's someone local - that would be good to know as well - though we have no particular need to purchase them locally (Other than saving on shipping). Thanks in advance for your experience and recommendations! Josh Check out Sun Talk Solar out in Montebello off 56th. I bought 2- 300W surplus panels there and built my own systemRe: roadside assistance for Diesel Pusher Good Sam Care Team wrote: Hello Colo Native, We sincerely apologize for the frustrating experience you had when calling in for assistance. We set a very high customer service standard and always want to make sure we are providing that across the board. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance. Thank you, Good Sam Customer Care Team Too little to late. I was basically told thats the way it is. Ironically you just randomly change to suit you and not the customer.Re: roadside assistance for Diesel PusherGo with someone else GS sucks. I have used or not twice and they were horrible, The first time waited 4 hours in a metro area and the 2nd they kept changing the tow distance from unlimited down to 26 miles. Turns out no one could tow it when the air bags would not fill. Check your insurance they may have the coverage you need.Re: Solar install on Winnebago roofI put solar on mine and DID NOT use screws, only 3M tape and the proper caulking (Winnebago use silicone based products). Winnebago runs a number of channels with wire in them in the roof foam so you run a chance of getting a screw in one. The wood up there is only 1/8" so it won't hold much. Use treated lumber. Disconnect and plug the airline to the height control valve. If the coach has a tag, it will need support also. It will ride like a wagon, it will get you out of SD. Have you actually done this?? There is no height control valve that I am aware of.
