If no fuel pump on generator to draw fuel it's not going to work unless maybe you can position the tank above the generator.Re: 100 watt solar panelWay too much money. 265 watt system with Morningstar controller on my FW. About $700 self installed 2 years ago. I wouldn't give them more than $300 for the install assuming they used name brand products.Re: GTWR & GVWR??? mackyb wrote: fj12 - Maybe I'm missing something here. GMC's certified drive axle rating is 6200#. My truck scaled @ 3560#. The rear axle is well within it's limits! According to your Post your loaded rear axle is 6400# and rating is 6200#. That's overloaded and in violation of DOT requirements (axles and tires must be within ratings when loaded). I am sure your Duramax (I have a 2015) pulls it fine but your 3/4 ton suspension isn't built for that load. Good luckRe: Accidentally Put gas in my diesel HELP Tom/Barb wrote: naturist wrote: Tom/Barb wrote: Theory is good, but the minuscule amount of gas in this mix, will not make any difference. Depends on the engine. In my 2006 5.9 cummins I wouldn't even blink, finish filling with diesel and drive. In my 2015 Duramax I wouldn't even start the engine due to the tight tolerance CP4 HP Fuel Pump. Re: Generators for 5th wheel powerJust AirCond around 2800watt continuous rating. Add something like a microwave at same time then 3500watt continuous minimum. Generally speaking.Re: What's the comfortable weight limit dmichaelf wrote: The Dry hitch weight is 2020 lbs. What do you add other than passengers and cargo in the truck to get the total payload. My GAWR is 6200 rear and 5500 front. You can estimate pin weight by taking 20% of the actual trailer weight. I think the stated dry pin weight is problably several hundred pounds too lite. Betcha the on the lot empty trailer pin weight is between 2400 & 2600 pounds. My 3000# pin weight in above comment was simply roughy 20% of the GVWR. With 6200# truck GAWR on rear you will definitely be pushing if not significantly exceeding that rating. Some will disagree with the newer trucks higher capacities but 15k# GVWR FW is dually country.Re: Generator Help - need to buy in next week...Install a permanent 2nd battery (would recommend 2 6v in series). For the generator you need some power for that AC. IMHO you got 2 choices: - Twin Honda 2k units. Quiet, powerful and fuel efficient but expensive. About $2k for the setup - Champion 3500/4000. Not as quiet, plenty of power, little more thirsty. About $400. Your choiceRe: engine oil levelDon't have specific knowledge of that engine but that range is perfectly normal for a large displacement Diesel engine.Re: What's the comfortable weight limitYour free to do what you want as that truck will likely pull it ok. However, the book says your not fine (that's right not fine if you limit yourself to stated payload). Your new trailer will have a pin weight around 3,000# against a payload of approx 2500#. Your overloaded before you even get in the truck. With that much pin weight you might exceed axle ratings, you'd have to weigh the truck to be sure
