Yes, I plugged into the same light plug as the dolly--which worked.Re: New To Dinghy Towing K Charles wrote: Are you looking for the wires in the MH or the Acadia? In the Acadia. The motor home wires are the same as when I pulled a dolly with mag lights. I will probably get separate 1157 bulb sockets and bypass the Acadia wiring. You just remove the stop light, drill a hole, insert the new socket and connect the wires. The four wires are already run from the hitch to the rear of the Acadia. Thanks, BobRe: New To Dinghy Towing K Charles wrote: The Acadia has led tail lights. You can't just hook a wire to them to make them light. Thank you Charles---that is why I bought the light kit from Blue Ox, with relays and instructions.New To Dinghy TowingI finally gave up my tow dolly and invested in a tow bar and base plate from Blue Ox for my 2019 GMC Acadia. The base plate and tow bar work great, but I am having a problem getting lights to work. Does anyone know which wires go to the stop, tail and directional lights? On the drivers side in the rear, under the little storage box, there are two wiring harnesses and a fuse box. I found two different brown or tan wires that were hot with tail lights on, but will not light up when I connect the tow vehicle through the relay. The same goes for the green wires for the right signal or yellow wires for the left signal. Not sure if there is a third wire I haven't found yet. Can the 2019 Acadia be connected using the existing lights, or do I have to install separate sockets and run them totally from the tow vehicle? Thanks in advance for any info available.Re: Good Sam Insurance KPetrick wrote: Give us a call at 888-514-1116. We quote with 4 different carriers but only 1 of them online. Thank you, BobRe: tire covers ADCO or Camco or Elements?Order ADCO on Amazon. Probably cheaper and better quality than Elements, which I never heard of. Just my opinion! From experience I have found you can buy anything you need on line, cheaper than Camping World, if you have time to wait for it.Good Sam InsuranceI just went online to check Good Sam Insurance rates and found out they will not give Comprehensive or Collision insurance on a motorhome over twenty years old. Imagine that! Sounds like discrimination against us owners that are happy with our older motorhomes. Guess I will stick with Progressive!Re: Power Plus Electric Leveling JacksThank you for the replies, and sorry for taking so long to acknowledge them. I was supposed to get an e-mail notification but did not receive any. Anyway, I was able to unplug the jack wires and I tested each jack individually with a couple of jumper wires. They did not seem to have much of a spark when I connected them, either down or up, so that told me the amp draw was not too drastic. I have decided to use four DTDP momentary on switches and a standard off and on switch and make my own controller and run the jacks manually. The only problem I can see is I will have to be careful when retracting the jacks so as not to raise them to far, and to let go of the switch when they are all the way up. Thanks again, BobPower Plus Electric Leveling JacksI have problem with my Power+Plus Leveling Jacks not working. I have power to the control box, but none of the jacks work. I can not find a replacement control box because it is an old system and parts are not available. I have contacted RV salvage yards and stopped at Colaw RV in Carthage, MO with no luck. The jacks work fine when they get power, I would like to eliminate the control box and install a manual switch for each jack. I am not sure how to wire them as far as if relays are needed. If someone has done something similiar with an electric jack system, I would appreciate any info. I really do not want to spend $4 to $8 thousand on a new leveling system. Thanks, BobRe: Emergency 4 way FlashersThank you for the replies. At 6'2' and 220lbs., I may have to pull the drivers seat to look up under the dash. LOL I have felt around under there and tried taking pictures but haven't been able to find it. I will keep searching.
