Pull off the cover, lift up on the "deflector" and the filter is right of center on the bottom. The drain is to the right tucked back behind, a 3/8" or so plug. I froze mine up because i did not understand the valving. Do not bypass the heater when you winterize. Re: Tankless water heater Had a tanked propane/electric heater. Changed trailer and got a tankless. I'd change back in a heartbeat. Sure you get unlimited water but it costs you in propane. Always changing tanks. Takes longer to get water. Every time you touch the hot faucet your heater fires up. Think how many times you turn on the hot for just a few seconds, like rinsing dishes or accidentally. Mine does not have a backup heater for freezing weather and they will freeze and bust or you drain them every time you travel in freezing weather, Each to his own but I do not like them. Tankless heater over heating Furrion tankless water heater heats water to 144 degrees when set for 124 degrees. I lowered setting to 115 degrees and it heated to 136 degrees. We are traveling in the deep south and I thought it was due to the higher water temperature but I'm not sure. Stange thing is if you only turn on the hot water the temp stays at 115 but if you turn on the cold water it heats to 136. I tried to change the water flow valve at the heater but it won't move and is on max. Do I have an issue?? I fear over heating the water tubes and having a blow out. Is the issue in the heater control or the heater unit? Since I'm on the road now I'm reluctant to get aggressive with control valave. Thanks, Jeff. Re: Coverter/ GFCI problemsSo the new season is here and the RV went to the shop for a refrig recall. While there I had them check out the ground fault. They said they could not duplicate. I indicated it happened with my 20a to 50a adapter so they tried it and bingo ground fault. So what did they do? Replaced the converter. Why you ask? Can't explain. But it fixed the problem. Still use the original extension cord and the adapter. ??????Re: Coverter/ GFCI problemsSo when I talked to the tech he said he had never received one back with GFI problems that were the fault of the converter. No surprise there. So I pulled the breaker panel. Tugged and moved wires. Sweat a lot. Swore a lot and found nothing so put everything back together and shazaam, no fault. I guess I'll proceed as normal until it raises it's ugly head again. JeffRe: Coverter/ GFCI problemsThanks everyone. I've talked to a tech at progressive dynamics. With his and your thoughts i will attack.Re: Coverter/ GFCI problemswa8yxm and 3 tons. Thanks. Please reread my OP. No hot water heater. (on demand propane only) Only with the converter breaker on doe it trip. Checked continuity between ground and hot on the outside entrance plug. No onboard generator. Refer on caused no problem. Only when the converter breaker is on. And please don't get upset with "please reread the post" it wasn't intended like you thought it was. Thanks JeffCoverter/ GFCI problemsBrand new Grand Design Reflection 5er (50A). Just home from the lot. Plugged into my shore power (20A) and tripped the GFCI. Changed cord and different GFCI. Still tripped it. Moved to a non GFCI circuit and ran the Refrig to get ready for a weekend trip. Everything worked. Home from the weekend with no problems and started chasing problem. Checked resistance between ground and hots at the RV and 'open'. Used original set up; 50' 12ga cord, 20a-30a and a 30a to 50a adapter, no load. OK. Plugged into rv and tripped the GFCI. Threw the converter breaker and no trip. Dual fuel refrig ran. On demand water heater so nothing there. Ran 30 minutes or more. Turned on the converter breaker and in less than 3 minutes tripped the GFCI. Sounds like a bad converter. Does anyone have a different idea? I have no information on the converter (don't even kn0w where it is). Thanks, Jeff.Re: Slide repair/rebuild costs. Seals, guides loThanks for the responses. Decided to just replace the trailer. I'm not monitoring this post anymore but if someone wants to jump on and continue it, go for. JeffRe: Slide repair/rebuild costs. Seals, guides loMFL. I have replaced the D seals, but I need all the rest. I'm under the impression that the slides must be removed to replace the wipers and seals.
