We were told while checking in to Salt Springs in Florida that they were going up but I didn't realize that they would go up that much. My wife got hers at the National Forest HQ near Lynne, Florida for $10.00. We have used them at the Grand Canyon, Sequoia National Park and others. We use it a lot at the Army Corps Campgrounds. I guess we are fortunate to have gotten ours when we did. I guess we are double covered now.Re: first time outHave you hooked city water up to it and checked things out, leaks etc before leaving the driveway? If you do that you can check your hot water heater there at home, check the heater etc. Do a good preflight at home before heading out and you should not have any problems.Re: Trailer brake adviceMy truck is a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. I bought it used and later bought a Puma 25RS. I ordered a Prodigy P2 Brake Controller from Etrailer. I drilled the mounting holes in the dash and then plug it into the truck circuit board, no problem. I set the controller up myself... On the WDH...when I bought my trailer they set up the hitch...when I got it home I redone it after I had my trailer loaded. I did have to tweak it after pulling it on the highway. I did it myself...several years ago.Re: Kind of a dumb question, but I'm newWhen I bought my truck used it had a hitch assemble already installed. We pulled our PUP with it, then we found a larger trailer used. It came with a WDH and bars...the dealer set it up for me. I ordered a Prodigy P2 from Etrailer and installed it myself. After we had the trailer loaded I had to reset the adjustment on the WDH and adjusted my Prodigy brake controller.Re: Trailer length - does that influence spot availability? Our Puma 25RS is 30 Foot from nose to tail, never had a problem finding a site. The COE sites will usually tell you about the lengths. Go for what you feel comfortable with...Re: Portable ice maker for RV.Go to Walmart and buy one...we have had one for several years...use it also when we are not camping.Re: Stereo replacementI replaced an old Concertone a few years ago with a Jensen. There was a big wiring change with the switch out. I made a diagram of the old wiring and labeled them. The replacement had the A, B and AB. I had to do some figuring, before I connected everything. Hint, the replacement CD doesn't always work on certain CD's.Re: first time sanitize fresh water tanksJust make sure you get all the bleach water out.....you don't want the wife to yell at you when she gets a sip of water out of the faucet. Been there, done that.Re: Sewer hose in the rear bumper, I made a tray for the hoseA great idea! We bought our Puma used and it had a hose container attached to the bottom of the bumper.Re: Just curious......I tow a Puma 25RS with a 2007 Cheverolet PU with a 5.3 Engine. The average mpg runs at 10-13. Not towing the trailer on the interstate it averages about 20-22 MPG. Pulling my utility trailer with a load...about 16 mpg average. It looks like everyone is getting about the same.
