I am looking at a new f150 crew cab 4x4 and it looks like the best payload I can get with those options is just under 1500 pounds. Am I reading the towing guide incorrectly? I know I can get up to 2500 with a regar cab 4x2.
My BIL just flipped an e350 on its side last week due to a low tongue weight. He was towing a flat bed trailer that was loaded wrong. Luckily no one was hurt. Be careful.

With regards to waiting for the 15. If you dont need the extra hp and tourque the 5.4 is a good engine. Mpg would also be something to consider if you will use the car as a daily driver.
If you do try and change the wall covering do it in a small area first as suggested and see how it holds up. A TT is a pretty hostile environment with temperature and humidity extremes that may not be tolerated well by products made for regular indoo...
